I struggle to articulate my feelings for this game - they are comically mixed. For someone who prefers very narrative focussed games, this one is not one of my favourites. It struggles to commit to its own narrative, tone and world expansion which - in addition to the total lack of relevance of your player character within the world - makes the whole thing feel rushed and commercial. No context is given in the game to literally anything (at least within the first 10 hours) so you end up going through the motions with little to experience. A part of me wants to argue this feeling is just from the game being open-world, but that would conflict the multitude of amazing titles that do manage to make the world feel interesting and personalized. I think part of the issue is the aforementioned lack of anything being built around the Player Character themselves - no backstory etc - which makes the format feel more like an online expansion to a main campaign where you're just minmaxing your likeability with characters along with your gear and vaguely investing in a story/side quests instead of having a deep, emotional plot. Worth a play because you can kill a couple hours at a time before you get bored/get a headache with the cut-to-black cutscenes, but definitely wait for it to be on sale.
