I just started Vampire Survivors a couple days ago, and thought this would be better with robots, lasers, and way better graphics. Then I found this. See ya later, VS.
This is a really fun single player game! Everything from trying out all the different equipment, trying to survive as long as possible on the survival missions or getting a new high score is all great fun! (and a bit addictive..). It's a challenging yet rewarding game that keeps me wanting more! Looking forward for new missions!
Really fun game. Compared to Vampire survivor and Halls of torment, this game is a bit more challenging, but you still feel very powerful when you have a good combination of weapons and upgrades. By having small missions popping up on the map all the time on the maps, you are forced to move around rather that just standing still. I personally really like that.
Keep an Eye on this one.
This game is a blast. Super difficult to start just like all these style games(Vampire Survivor, Soulstone Survivors, etc) but a couple runs later and you can see the possibilities for some fun builds. Plus the bosses from the first 2 planets are just amazingly epic. Second world especially. Primary and Secondary weapons are impactful and varied, and I still have a lot more to unlock. All in all, I give it two thumbs up.
stay clear, it's yet another early access title that has been abandoned by the devs.
With it actual reduced base price (5 Euro) this game is absolutely worth it. Unlike other title in this genre HiveCorp have a story with full decent voice acting. The game use 3D graphics on Unreal 4 Engine and it run quite smooth, the effects are solid and enemies have good variety as also we have different biome maps. All dealt and received hits have good visual and audible feedback. The difficulty raise balanced and we occasionaly fight some Elite and Boss enemies with their unique attack pattern. Maps have small events and collectibles, random spawning buffs. The main weapon, skills and passives have good variety. There is unlockable weapons, skills and passives as also we have a decent Meta to enhance our character, so the game keep us motivated to play. HiveCorp surely deserve more than Mixed status. Recommended Survivor Bullet Heaven.
8 hours of play time and zero crashes. The game is very unique and fun.
I like it, its nice having a story in the background. I didn't have any issues with crashes and run 7 year old computer.
Some of the negative reviews are complaining about crashes, I have had 0 crashes with the game so there might be something specific with their PC hardware that the game doesn't like or they need to fix their PC/Steam/Verify files for the game. Or maybe install the game on a drive that doesn't have only 10GB of free space, I don't know. Now, I can recommend the game for what you get compared to the price BUT, big BUT here. I'm not sure if the game will ever be out of early access considering that there hasn't been an update in over 6 months. The game might just be abandoned sadly. Either way, the game is... Ok. For the price you can get quite a few hours in it and it does have a unique enough setup to warrant its own existence. That's what I'm looking for in a roguelite, what makes it unique, what makes it stand apart from other of its genre. The most unique aspect of the game is the fact that it has a story (nothing that you will really keep up with that much) and missions. The missions are simple, survive the onslaught of enemies coming at you. For your arsenal you have a few different weapons, starting with just 1, you can unlock a few more, nothing special at all, I stick to the first weapon myself. A bunch of different gadgets to unlock that will help you survive, some passives and some active, you can only equip a certain amount. The missions gets gradually more difficult and you can be in for a surprise of how difficult they can be. Some modifiers can make it more difficult like the blitz mode which makes enemies spawn more and also faster movement speed. The missions can also have a special boss that can be quite the challenge to kill, especially if you have a build that doesn't fit with the boss itself.
