Strange? Abstract? Terrifying? Terrible? Nonsensical? There are more than handful of words that can describe Hippocampal. Think a walking simulator glued unto terrible and floaty movement on top of having to sluggishly move through an avant-garde hedge maze of peculiar assortment of rubbish. If this was a free thing I'd be willing to half heartedly recommend it for the trippy soundscapes and visuals but don't be stupid like me and pay a cent for it. You're not missing out on anything remotely special or worth your time.

I purchased the game in June 2014 because I had thought it looks like a funny, absurdist game experience that parodies horror and exploration games of the time. Then I forgot about it. At the beginning of 2023 I discovered it again in my library and decided to play it as I was looking for the most obscure games around. I regret every second of it. The game is about finding hidden objects in an absurd environment, which is fair enough, but it starts with awful controls, inconsistent graphics, lackluster animations and even more awful sound and music. Everything in this game is awful and I don't know how I managed to play this game to the finish, maybe I had hoped the ending would be worth it but of course I was so very wrong. This game feels like it was the assignment for a class and quickly developed over the course of a weekend because the developer had procrastinated before the deadline a lot. I understand that, I do that too, but please do not try to sell the result! Avoid at any and all cost.

Hippocampal: The White Sofa, Can be described in a very short sentence: What the f - u - c - k is this piece of gutter trash!? To be honest, I think this is the perfect woodstock simulator. Three days on acid with five joints and all other things forbidden by law and god. This game is just.. Not worth a place on Steam. Sorry, but some things are just not meant to happen. This.., is one of those things.

Госпаде, ну и психодел :DDD Я прошел первый уровень. Искал какой то логический смысл (и на первых этапах он там немного присутствовал). Видно что локации похожи на метро, детскую площадку, школьный класс.. И всё из этих сетчатых блоков. На втором уровне начинается ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Но отголоски логики ( если поискать) еще присутствуют. Бросил игру я на 3 уровне. Это уже конченный ♥♥♥♥♥♥.... Просто нагромождение объектов. Не пойми что надо искать.... какие то вырыванные куски текстур.. вроде что то нашел, но не понятно что.... в общем на 3 уровне это просто адский ♥♥♥♥♥♥... который создавал сонный бомж. Но всё равно атмосферненько. И было прикольно искать в этом смысл :3
