Death was given.
Honestly I don't know what occurred over the past 24 hours but I've become a massive fan of randumb studios. I went to the bank with all the quarters I had lying around just so I could play through more of the games. Ill probably get to all of them once I have more spending cash but I'm kinda addicted so far. My secret words in Fateweaver so far: Redemption, Death Though the description of the ogre condoms brought back the memories of the unfortunate turtle ending from confessions I still felt bad for the ogre after giving him the bad end. I don't much care for any kind of discrimination and the humans certainly gave a lot of reasons for Thadeus to be hateful.
first word....life
While I love how much the Randumb Studios devs care about their players and go out of their way to read reviews and select reviewers to name in future games (thank you again for my selection), this Fateweaver game was unfortunately a Pass for me since many of the questions resulted in the same answers and ultimately, didn't quite leave me feeling as conflicted about the final ending choice. 2.5/10 Fated Word: Death
My fated word is Death
Unlike other games of the developer, it's not gripping the player. There were funny moments but they are rare and the punchline is repeating.
Death Sorry you poor, innocent ogre. I have no patience for you. No more smashing.
My Gifted Word was Life, which made me question my values and morals. I couldn't just judge the orc just based on its looks or personality. I had to take into account it's nature as well. It is another species. Its way of life and it's capability for reasoning is too short-minded. There were no ill intentions behind the orc's actions, just naivety taken to the extreme, since that's its nature. As always, this game touched great philosophical topics. This time, more than a retrospective analysis, the game made me question things more on an existential level; in this case, the topic was the nature of a peculiar living being named Thadeus.
Fated Word: Life! Also a list of all of these questions would be AMAZING. What a great conversation you could have with a person you don't know well!
This was a nice game to where you ask the questions instead of answering them! I really enjoyed that Thadeus was deeper than you're usual ogre that's depicted in other games, and I could relate to him on life goals [having a family]. For the first run through I showed Thadeus the favor of the Fateweaver and got the word Life, and then the second time I asked different questions and showed him the wrath [and received the word Death; which makes sense]. My favorite part of the game were the small modern lingo moments and references to dating apps, how subtly perverted Thadeus was, and the Fateweaver's reactions to each!
