If you're into green culture, just buy it. It will make you feel happy and put a smile on your face. One of the coolest little hidden gems I've ever come across on Steam.

High Smileson is a simplistic hidden object/point and click hotspot adventure game with a "chill" hippy theme. The idea is to relax, turn things down a notch and click on the hidden things in each image to go through a surrealist hippy story. So, you know... not really a video game. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate whatever the developers were trying to do here... they're just in the wrong place for it. The artwork here is just mediocre, amateurish MS-Paint style drawings. I appreciate that's the intentional and deliberate art style here... but we must ask what this is doing for gamers who've just spend thousands building a bleeding edge gaming rig. And the answer is... not a whole lot. Problematically, the user interface for this game is just 2D panels with a few static images... it might as well be a browser game. And we all know, Steam isn't here to compete with Chrome and Firefox. If the game can be done in a web browser, it's just not rich or compelling enough to appeal to serious gamers. High Smileson has an overly optimistic price of around $4 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam.
