Hidden: On the trail of the Ancients

This game unfortunately is quite unappealing. Those into a long storyline and lots of slow bits would probably be okay but I'm just to old to be bothered. The story line and your characters voice are both bland. Nothing in the game grabs you to keep on coming back. Too many meaningless things to click on and a general feeling of detachment. With a bit more pep could be a good game but just not for me.

Una aventura gráfica tenebrosa, no excesivamente díficil pero con sus puntos de debanarse los sesos. La música crea un buen ambiente de suspense y miedo en los momentos apropiados, un acierto, y los gráficos buenos para este tipo de juegos. Decir que sobre W10 va de lujo y que me he quedado con ganas de más.

Entretenido juego de suspenso que no solo te desafiará, sino que también pondrá a prueba tu paciencia y gusto por la lectura (no es que sea "un libro", pero lo disfrutarás más si te gusta leer un poco). Lo más destacable de este título es el trabajo sobre la historia, donde se nota el esfuerzo de los desarrolladores por generar un mundo interesante, envolvente, que engancha al jugador. Cabe señalar que no es una obra completa sino una 'ópera prima', donde la historia queda inconclusa. A pesar de ello, y sin lugar a dudas, vale la pena jugarlo.

The first impression wasn't good. I couldn't even run the game and had to spend some time searching forums and trying stuff to make the game running. If you've experienced similar problems, check the discussions for a thread called "HOW TO run the game on Windows 10". But when the game actually works, it's pretty good. It's a first person adventure game where you move between predefined locations that are rendered as a 360° photos. The graphics are nice, with a lot of detail and even some decent cutscenes. The best thing about the game is definitely the mysterious story and dense lovecraftian atmosphere. The game can be quite scary at times, even though you're never in real danger. Puzzles are mostly ok, with reasonable difficulty, not easy but not unbeatable. The main problem is that the game relies too much on pixel hunting. Several objects are so tiny, so barely visible, and well-hidden that it's almost impossible to find them without sweeping every inch with a mouse cursor. In case of one object, I couldn't find it even after checking a walkthrough. Thanks to this, the game is pretty hardcore and I can imagine that less patient players will give up soon after the beginning. Overall, the game could definitely use some polishing but it's still worth checking out even if just for the dark atmosphere.

I am not sure why this game gets mixed reviews. I really liked it and it had all the qualities of a classic adventure game.

B4sura de DEVS que llevo 1 año intentando que el juego me funcione y solo me ha dado problemas, crasheos, pantallas negras, he mirado decenas de webs y vídeos, los DESARROLLADORES NO RESPONDEN ante nada, así que me he gastado el dinero para NADA.

Mir hat das Old-School Point'n Click Adventure wirklich gefallen. Als Lovecraft-Fan liebe ich diese Art von Geschichten. Für Jemanden der solche Adventure nicht dauernd spielt waren einige Rätsel doch knackiger. Sehr schade, dass es nicht fortgesetzt wurde. Hätte die Geschichte gerne weiter erlebt. Trotzdem eine Daumen hoch :)

It´s sad that the developers have abandoned the project, I was really curious for the sequel. Still, I enjoy played. So positive.

Ich fand das Spiel sehr spannend, tolle Geschichte! Nur schade, dass das Game genau dann aufhört, wenns erst so richtig los geht. Ich warte auf den zweiten Teil :)

Ich kann von diesem Spiel nur abraten. Beim Starten des Spieles (nicht auf jedem Computer möglich, z. B. Notebook mit I5) kommt man über das Menü nicht hinaus, da nicht alle Menüpunkte auf Mausklicks reagieren. im Internet heruntergeladene save-Dateien werden auch nicht geladen.
