I really enjoyed the story of this game. It was unique, and unique is something sadly missing from indie horror games. I think the writing could have been a bit better and some of the voice acting wasn't on point, but one of the voice actors was absolutely amazing, The game plays through multiple acts, living as different characters in each act. I think you are supposed to feel sympathy for the character you are currently playing as, but I found myself really hating every one in the story. They were all such terrible people. "Hidden Facade" is a psychological horror game. It will make you wonder what's going on but, you'll never feel really lost. There are hints throughout the game that upon finishing it they start making sense (if you were careful enough to notice them in the first place). You should really see and listen to what is happening around you, as every single detail matters. The story is ranging from sad, to bittersweet, to scary. It's a tragic tale that you won't know who or what to believe. You'll see more than 1 point of view and the stories blend together. Despite 3 distinct endings, that occur through 3 distinct in-game options, you'll never be sure of which version was actually the truth or even if ANY of them were true.. ^^ The game performs well even if there is the occasional graphical "crack". It isn't lagging once it loads. No bugs. The hitboxes work well, the lighting is sufficient and the music, along with the sounds, well made. Always watch and listen carefully! It's not a very lengthy game, 1-2 hours should be enough for all 3 endings but it's a cool experience! All reported issues have been addressed so far and the dev worked to resolve any bugs or problems the game might had had. The price has been reduced to better match the overall content of the game. There are still some improvements that I would like to see (mostly interface things - different and bigger dot pointer/marker, save and skip feature, a note gallery, a textbook with the story) [b]but[/b], that's what they are... improvements on an [b]already[/b] good game with a very interesting story! Yes, it's not an original story but sometimes [b]how[/b] something is been told and/or shown matters a lot! I fully recommend this game! It's not based on jumpscares or typical survival, although there is an unexpected one (well played dev..)! Short story is nice for one playthrough, but the game doesn’t look great or stand out from the pack. The story follows John and Ana, a couple who lost their young daughter. While father is more or less able to continue with his life, the mother is admitted to a psychiatric hospital. However, they will meet again because they both begin to see their deceased daughter. You get to play both of them. Although both paths end in a house, where John's story takes place, Ana begins in a hospital. The gameplay is similar to any other walking sim. You walk around, clicking or collecting items that will help the story progress. When you point your camera at an interactable object, you will see a white circle. Graphics aren't great. There is a significant absence of details that would make both locations intriguing. Compared to a home, which has at least some furniture and paintings on the walls, the hospital appears to be any other generic hospital. It only has a corridor and your room. One issue is that there are no visual clues. Although the locations are small and not rich with many objects, it’s very easy to miss something because the game takes place at night. You have a flashlight, but it's not very good. Another thing that’s missing is your current objective. They appear for the game's first few objectives before disappearing. The game is short, but it has three endings. To make things easier, you can play Ana's side from the main menu. This is where you decide which path to choose. The game is not scary, and there is only one jumpscare at the start.

This games story line is decent enough and you do get into it. A few jump scares here and there, great graphics and easy to use controls. Apart from a few minor bugs I had a good time playing the game. Just wish it could have been longer! Avis mitigé sur ce jeu. L'histoire est plutôt tordue, mais classique pour ce type de jeu de même que le gameplay. On a du voice acting en plus et c'est assez sympa, par contre je le trouve beaucoup trop cher pour la qualité du contenu. Déjà j'ai dû jouer en low graphics alors que je suis au-dessus de la config recommandée, et le visuel n'est vraiment pas fou. En qualité supérieure il y a un lag de fou et je ne peux pas dire que le visuel soit pour autant époustouflant. On est sur du très basic au niveau du level design et par rapport à la taille des niveaux, je ne comprends même pas pourquoi ça tartine alors qu'on est sur des environnements assez restreints et simplistes. A 6€ j'aurais dit ok, mais à presque 13, il ne les vaut clairement pas. Il y a 3 fins différentes et on a la possibilité de rejouer seulement une portion de l'histoire pour ne pas avoir à tout refaire. Côté jumpscares, c'est très pauvre, un seul a réussi à me faire sursauter, le reste était prévisible et pas vraiment bien exécuté. Il faut dire aussi qu'il y a très peu d'éléments proposés à ce niveau. Les animations sont très basiques et parfois il y a carrément des éléments qui disparaissent pendant les animations comme les cheveux d'un personnage. Ça donne un effet brouillon et pas fini. De même que certaines incohérences comme ouvrir une bouteille de vin et entendre le son d'une bouteille de champagne (ou un autre truc qui mousse) qu'on débouche et qu'on fait couler dans un verre. Alors oui, je chipote sur des détails, mais ils ont leur importance si on veut proposer quelque chose de réellement immersif. D'autant plus pour un jeu comme celui-ci qui met l'accent sur l'histoire plus que sur le côté horreur. Le descriptif Steam dit par ailleurs qu'on incarne 3 personnages différents mais en fait non, seulement 2. En bref le jeu n'est pas mauvais, mais il aurait nécessité plus de travail sur les détails et surtout un prix revu à la baisse.
