Reviews
Jogue.

Incredibly mega fun game. It's a bit tough to get used to the finer mechanics like parrying but time is the best thing you can give to learn, as is with any game and skill curve. Very charming cast of characters and great comedy to pair with them. I haven't yet beat the game as of this review but I am on approximately the penultimate boss methinks? Anyway, get it!

Best game ever made right here
As a lover of rhythm games: this is pretty cool! I really enjoyed the combat and movement system - it was very fun to get a hang of. However, while I do recommend this game for the gameplay aspect, I do have a few qualms with it. First of all, the endgame. I feel like towards the end of the game, the enemy combos get really messy and most of the time it felt like the devs were throwing ♥♥♥♥ at the wall and seeing what sticks. While it was mostly fine, some of the times there were so many enemies on the screen that I felt like I had no other choice but to spam my
companions
and jump around for the first minute of the fight or so, because otherwhise I would just get my ass beat and lose my combos. This did not feel too great, as I was literally just spamming buttons to the beat and getting S's across the board for playing very cheesy (though I did not see another way most of the time). Then there's the grading system. For the first half of the game I was really trying, memorizing the combos and styling on the enemies and getting overall B's for it (with S's and A's for timing and clear time). As time went on I realized that the game rewards mostly what I described above: spamming random buttons to the rhythm. The best mechanic that was kind of saving it for me, as it felt really meaningful and responsive was the
parry
. It was extremely satisfying to execute. This, along with the
other Sekiro-inspired elements like samurai enemies and the posture bars
were honestly one of my favourite parts of this game. The way they changed this mechanic from the source material really fit the game and I loved it. And lastly, there's the narrative. For the better part of the game I had a lot of fun with it, I loved all of the characters (even though Chai is mostly annoyingly Milennial) and jabs at corpos. HOWEVER. For a game so centered around painting the corporate way of thinking as absurd and silly (which it is), the game is surprisingly pro-capitalism. *Spoilers for the ending ahead*
I dunno what I expected from a game originally by Bethesda and now by Krafton (famously cartoonishly evil publishers) but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ did the ending leave me disappointed. The moral of the game seems to essentially be all EVIL corporations are EVIL, except for the ones that are good and are not to be questioned ever, they just need a good mission and leader is all teehee. Seriously? The entire game was about exploitation of workers and how corpos only ever care about spreadsheets and money and then at the end I'm supposed to feel all warm and fuzzy because the main characters got hired back? It felt really off and rushed, completely not in line with the vibe of the rest of the game. I just hate how they so heavily criticize the corporate culture but then fail to go just one step further and criticize the entire system. Personally this really undermined a lot of character growth for me and I wish the ending was different.
All in all, I recommend this game, but be warned there are some rough edges here and there.
整體來說不錯,故事輕鬆有趣,玩法也不錯。 可惜音樂部分鼓點跟拍子有點難抓,遊玩上也比較累, 但瑕不掩瑜。
хорошая игра
