If you are into a medieval genre of game play then this is the game for you! You got to be this heretic or odd religion to slain bunch of evil entities in this realm. Score 8.6 on gamespot as compared to undying score of 9.1. Undying would be a heresy or an evil religion.

Le jeu a extrêmement mal vieilli. Obligé d'utiliser les cheat codes pour le finir, à cause de scripts qui se déclenchent pas ou mal. Il parait qu'il y a un coté RPG, avec des aptitudes propres à chaque classe. Aucune idée de comment ca marche, j'ai fini le jeu sans. Et sur l'écran de fin, après avoir battu le dernier boss, le texte de conclusion du jeu bug. Si on veut de la nostalgie, on relance doom 1 ou doom 2, voire Quake 1 et 2 et là on prend du bon temps. Inutile de se fatiguer avec ce jeu.

This was a really hard transition from the first game. The level design is somehow even worse with a much slower focus on gameplay. A lot of grinding with a very bloated levels and no in game map to use.

[h1]If you didn't like the first Hexen, you will absolutely despise Hexen II.[/h1] The combat is even duller, the leveldesign is even more cryptic, contrived and frustrating and from an artistic standpoint the Id Tech 2 engine aged considerably worse than Id Tech 1. Literally the only improvement over it's predecessor (apart from the more advanced technology) is that Hexen II got rid of respawning enemies. Thank god. Hexen II's sole unique selling point remains the setting, which was still quite unusual for First-Person-Shooters at that time. Exceptional 90s shooters like Half-Life, Unreal, Doom and Quake age rather gracefully overall. The Hexen series on the other hand simply does not, neither artistically, nor technologically or gameplaywise. It is, by all means, outdated as f*ck. Hexen II in particular is not really a bad game even by today's standards, but it's boring and tedious combat, atrociously random leveldesign and generally outdated gameplay and presentation make it very hard to stomach even for longtime gaming retro fans in their late 30s like myself. If you enjoyed the first Hexen and don't mind being dependend on a walkthrough for at least half of a game, there is a slim chance that Hexen II might be somewhat fun and rewarding for you, but those current 5 Euros are the absolute maximum amount of money you should consider paying for it. _________________________________________________________________________________ HEXEN II Genre: First-Person-Shooter Release: Q4 1997 ( ) 0/8 Simply one of the worst games ever made. Don't pay more than 15 bucks. ( ) 5/8 Good game, Must-play for genre- / series-fans. Worth 20 to 25 bucks max, if you are not a fan. ( ) 6/8 Great game, universal recommendation. 30 bucks would be a steal for this. ( ) 7/8 Outstanding game, a milestone of it‘s respective genre. Definitely worth its full prize. ( ) 8/8 Simply one of the best games ever made. Get this, the prize doesn't matter.

es kann echt nicht sein das es spiele gibt die so dermaßen die auflösung zuschiesen da macht das spielen auch kein spass

Installation du jeu tentative de modifier la taille de l affichage impossible que ce soi par le menu ou par la ligne de commande j'ai le jeu original et on est très loin de la qualité de facilité d utilisation en passant par steam. Je suis extrêmement déçu pour cette version. j ai l impression que le portage sur steam a été baclé.

Очень долго хотел пройти эту игру, потому что пропустил в детстве и при покупке id Super Pack. Оказалось, что не стоило так хотеть. Хорошие визуалы, но откровенно мерзотный бесящий геймплей со слишком плотными мобами, которых не очень много разных, отвратительным левел дизайном в духе Турок 2 с кучей бэктрекинга и запутанным говном вместо уровней, по-мудацки запрятанными донельзя кнопками и секретными проходами в стенах, вплоть до прозрачных стен с проходом, которые с виду вообще не отличаются от обычных. Боссы нормас. Большое разочарование. Аддон, Portal of Praevus, заметно более адекватен по левел дизайну, особенно за демоницу приятнее играется, 6-7/10. 4/10
