Элементы могут состоят из 2 - 10 шестиугольников, сочетая от 1 до 6 разных цветов. Основные правила просты: если размещаете элемент в пустые клетки, то можете ставить куда угодно, если элемент присоединяем к уже имеющимся на поле шестиугольниками, то по крайней мере один из соседних, соприкасающихся шестиугольников должен соответствовать цвету размещаемого. В игре несколько режимов и разблокируемые бонусы. Два режима доступны с самого начала, другие откроются с прохождением. «Классический» режим состоит из 6 глав по 6 уровней с тремя вариантами сложности. Второй режим «Поток» отличается от классического лишь тем, что для прохождения надо не только заполнить поле, но и соединить аккумуляторы с лампочками шестиугольниками одного цвета (собрать на поле рисунок таким образом, чтобы они соединялись цветной линией). Режим «Исследование» отличается тем, что на поле нет рамок и трафаретов, можно свободно складывать элементы в любую сторону. «Охота за сокровищами» откроется, когда вы соберете фрагменты карты в основной игре. Они выпадают довольно редко. Интересная и увлекательная головоломка! В игре еще много всего: особые квесты, сложные фигуры, сундуки с сокровищами, разблокируемые бонусы и т.п. Now, imagine a multiple number of hexagonal tiles joined together, what would you call that? Wow, you guys are so good! It is indeed a pattern. Let’s make it slightly more difficult. What would you call a pattern of hexagonal tiles which must be filled with coloured hexagons connected together as a shape, while making sure one side of each hexagon touches another hexagon of the same colour? So. . . you’re stuck now, hey! It’s simple. . . it’s Hex Origins, of course! Hex: Origins is a casual puzzle game which offers over eight hundred levels within four types of modes, as well as a level editor to create your own maps. As you might already know, I am a big fun of puzzle games, and I must admit that Hex: Origins grabs my attention straight away. As I mentioned above, the game offers four types of gameplay, which are: classic, flow, exploration and treasure hunting. The first two are very similar and have three levels of difficulty available. However, you must successfully win a certain number of stages to unlock the next difficulty. The main difference between the two modes is that in the flow mode, you have to make sure a flow of the same colour has been established between the emitter and receiver, which are located at each extremity of the pattern. For example, if the emitter and receiver are of the colour blue, you have to make sure a flow of blue hexagon tiles is connected from one to the other first, and secondly, that you manage to cover all remaining tiles to win that stage. The exploration mode is pretty much building a pattern until you use all remaining moves. And the treasure hunting can be unlocked when you find maps during the classic or flow modes. The gameplay is very simple but extremely addictive. Let’s take the classic mode, for example; a pattern of empty hexagon tiles will be displayed on your screen. At the bottom of the screen, you’ll be presented with five different shapes of hexagons; some will have two, three or even more coloured hexagons. You might have two blue hexagons or one orange and one blue. What you have to do is to use those to fill in the pattern of empty tiles in a specific number of moves to win the stage. As soon as you win the stage, you will receive coins as well as other rewards, such as maps for the treasure quest levels, or power ups. Power ups are pretty useful when the level of difficulty is rising. One of them is the bomb. By activating it, you’ll be able to clear a certain area which in turn can help you finish a stage. Delete your previous move, or even recolour a tile, to help you finish the level and score three stars for it. With the coins you earned, you can purchase additional power ups at the store, which can be extremely handy if you have none left. Graphically, the game runs well, looks ok and the soundtrack is very smooth. I'm a beta tester for this game and today i want to express my opinion about Hex:Origins:) I've been with it the whole time since it appeared on FB and its own website. To say it plainly being the kind of person who loves puzzle games, I strongly recommend Hex! Why chose to play this game? Simple: - It's refreshing, somewhat soothing and in the same time challenging! - The hexagon theme is new and forces you to adapt to a new perspective. Never seen the combination of a puzzle game and the hexagon theme in this form before. - It combines a range of different types of gameplay so you won't get bored; If you get tired of the classic gameplay mode you can switch to flow, exploration, trasure hunting oooooor, my personal favorite: the level editor! The maps already made by other players are quite fun and i can't wait for other people to post their maps too. - You can challenge yourself to complete a level in calssic mode not only at a 3 star rate but also at the hardest mastery level :D ( i never pass a level without completeing it first at a 3 star level - hard mode :D) I would like to be able to complete the other player's level in the same way as in classic mode, think it would be fun :D Aaaand pls let's try and find some other background music or give me another one or two options cuz i can't go too long with this one :) Sooo...for me it's fun, challenging and in the same time relaxing. You can be the best here, you can put your imagination to work or you can just play it for fun. Either way it's going to be worth your while! Keep up the good work you guiz!

Я люблю головоломки, и Hex: Origins очень меня порадовала. Почему она не стоит 30 рублей? Для этого есть куча причин. Я встречал игрушки в похожем оформлении, но настолько продуманный среди них не было. Геймплей веселый интересный и в то же время расслабляющий. Еще огромный плюс что присутствуют четыре режима, каждый из которых вполне самостоятельный и они прилично отличаются друг от друга. Любой из игроков подберет себе головоломки по силам - для этого есть выбор сложности. О графической составляющей тоже нельзя сказать ничего плохого. Краски очень приятны, а самое главное очень понравилось оформление игры: оно мало того очень красивое, но и интуитивно понятное.

I've barely started Hex:Origins, but it seems pretty awesome!

Very nice game concept, I honestly enjoyed it a lot to fill gaps in between other longer games or time waiting for friends on multiplayer games.

Found this game to be a great time killer, simple but really hard to master and the higher difficulty levels are a pretty mind-boggling especially if you don't want to use powerups. Neat mechanics and gameplay options and I haven't encountered a single bug so far. I've been playing the mobile version for a while now which is basically the same without the steam workshop and it also fits very nicely on a mobile device imho. If you like puzzle-style games which don't make you wanna punch your screen after the 3rd level but instead slowly grow in difficulty this game is a neat option you could consider.
