Here Goes Muffin

A fun, lighthearted and decently paced adventure that offers the player many ways to handle the obstacles presented. Mastering the controls and finding new ways to use the gadgets given provides satisfaction of clearing what initially seems very hard, and then beating your own records with the skills you gain.

Pros: -you play as a muffin -it's challenging -the platforming is good -unique mechanics Cons: -it's not a chocolate chip muffin

This game is incredible. 11/10 muffins, would allow this muffin to be near my children.

Here Goes Muffin is a fun little physics platformer with some unique ideas, and clever use of mechanics. It has an interesting art style and vibe that straddles the line between cute and creepy very well. The music does a great job of helping to set the mood of the different areas of the game. The game is difficult, but not punishing or unfair, and is long enough for a good challenge, but doesn't overstay its welcome. If you're a fan of platformers, indie games, or just quirky fun, this game is definitely worth a playthrough.

Hard. Died 500+ times. But it's satisfying to actually get better at the controls. The physics are wonky but fun wonky and while a tiny mistake can ruin everything it still feels like it would have been predictable, so it's my mistake and not the physics engine's. It is definitely a kind of rage game though, and can get (the good kind of) frustrating. Checkpoints make the whole thing more forgiving, so it's not a typical one. I don't usually play rage games but enjoyed this a lot. The game is also surprising because a) the new abilities really change how the movement works and they're very unique and b) because of what happens midway through. It doesn't really have any kind of story, it's just a cute silly indie game that took me longer than expected to complete. Definitely recommended.

I played the game, and I thought it was pretty cool. 😏 The power-ups introduce some pretty cool ideas when it comes to navigating the world and I love that they are all themed around sweets. Would definitely recommend if you want to play a difficult platformer with some charm.

Hurray! Just beat the game in regular mode with 20:50:57 hours on the clock and 633 deaths! What a satisfying platformer. Difficult, but in the best way. Using the different tools you collect to solve the challenges the game throws at you is extremely satisfying. You keep getting better at it as you die and die again, and once you get through a difficult section it feels super rewarding. Save points are tastefully distributed and there is an easy mode, so the frustration only gets as high as to motivate you. I loved every minute of it! And speaking of minutes.....What the heck Steam? You were marking 200+ hours of playtime on my steamdeck (I left the game open for days) and once it synced with my desktop it reduced it to a mere 44 minutes! Not happy about that. It doesn't reflect how long I've enjoyed this wonderful platformer for >:/ I hope this gets fixed. Anyway, if you like janky physics and clever platforming, Here Goes Muffin is the hidden indie gem for you! :))
