Her Story

I really liked the premise of this and found it pretty interesting. Personally I would have enjoyed a little more interactivity and a little more to do besides just finding all of the clips. I think if it was a bit like a mystery we actively solved. The game is quite old now so my critique is probably quite redundant. Overall it's an indie smaller project so I will always be a little easier on it than something produced by a bigger company and for the price I think I would still recommend it. For a smaller budget project I think the acting was really good as well. The actress did a great job and it felt very realistic.

It requires a lot of sustained cognitive effort that most players won't want to give, but if you stick with it, there's such an interesting and compelling narrative to be found here. Every clip you uncover feels like you personally wrangled it out of the database in a way that feels earned, and the game trusts you enough to also let confusion be a part of the experience. It's a really fun feeling to know that you didn't just witness a great linear story in a nonlinear way, but rather you pieced it together all on your own.

This is the first game in a series. They all have the same sort of gameplay but different stories and some different mechanics. I recommend this game to people looking for a thinking game, or if they want to play detective. This is mostly a sit back and watch game but I was on the edge of my seat the whole time!

Weird view for the game. I really enjoyed it from the twists and turns and piecing things together in this. Might go back and watch a recap of it, but overall pretty fun for those who want a story game

If you're into piecing a story together yourself you'll find this game to have a wilder story than it seems on the surface and first few videos you have access to at the start. Would highly recommend if you don't mind feeling literally as you are playing the game, someone going through footage trying to piece together the mystery. pro tip: Don't try to put them in order as you go, you'll have much more fun in much less time just remembering what you're hearing in the interviews and at most just put more possible key words on videos if you are going to save them for later in case you forget or run out of keywords to search.

took me 10 years to pay it, but this game is great. i played it with my wife and the ambiguity of the ending pissed her off. 10/10.
