A rather simple crew management/sea battle game in a tall ship era setting. The basic concept is interesting, graphical presentation is sort of simplistic. I personally don‘t like the gameplay because of having the character of a mobile game with random events and permanent need of clicking. Although the basic idea is interesting, I‘m not happy with the graphical presentation and gameplay. I love games from the tall ship era, so I was very curious about this one, but after a short test I have to say, that HMS just didn’t catch me. Sorry.
This game does not suck. People are saying its a mobile game because its point and click and managing tasks. I disagree, you need to manage your resources, your crew, your ship events all while completing the task in the allotted time while trying to handle the day to day ship random events. Maybe its better to ignore a ship task and take a penalty to morale if it means having more crew active, or maybe the longer route is better than the short one because pirates might kill your crew if you get into an engagement. I really enjoy this game because it's unpredictable and a lot of fun to compete with friends to make it to admiral. It really is worth the price. At the end of the day it's all about your choices as you captain your own ship.
It's a solid little game with limited strategy elements but still a lot of fun can be had with it. I'd not recommend it to everyone though. If you want to see some more gameplay and hear my honest thoughts on it, you can watch my short review here: https://youtu.be/_3c3vYjMjUI
i like the game.....i wish its whas more similar too uboat where youcan walk on the ship and with thenice grafics fromuboat but its simply not....i think is also a question of money a studio have,,,,but i love the idear imagine this with good grafics etc:D ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ master and commander...well but this game is a fun game for a small price with really not good grafics...buthu cares when you like the centuryand managment and.......briitish accent...because there are no other linguages...than this game is a really little fun... is also a question are you a rolleplayer and love sailing etc? can you put you self in this world?shure than you get more fun out of it......i like this game:)
Well I am stuck in the tutorial, a tutorial that doesn't show you how to play the game.
This is the worst game ever made. The tutorial does not explain anything. I sent a hour trying to figure out how to fire the cannons and all it does is put a giant 15 on my screen and locks my ship in combat, never to attack. This was very bad game mechanics.
Rather Meh, lost potential tbh
I like the game .. somehow.. Negative: - It's a bit like a mobile game - the gameplay is repetitive Positive: - I like the look
Good game ! Good graphic ! beautiful ! Tough game through. Need to play without enemy at first go get how to play. Start with one AI, If you can beat the AI and get the game you can try two AI. I am still getting massacre with two AI. I am having fun at least.
