I don't usually give reviews. But here goes. This game is a good concept. You manage assets on your aircraft carrier. Even if F16's don't belong on carriers, it's ok because it's simply a cosmetic thing. So, you play one of 15 scenarios that increase in difficulty and whose enemies change when you replay it. The map does not change, however. Still, not a bad replay value. So far, so good. As for game play it's mostly what you'd expect. You launch your assets to fight the enemies that come at you. Part of your response is also how to spend your earned (by destroying enemies and such) cash to meet the threat. Not exactly a sim but I like this. Nonetheless, I feel the game lacks engagement by the player because you can't give aircraft orders, such as CAP, air superiority or ASW. You also can't switch the cam to other units as it remains focused on the carrier with no way to switch to the views of other active units. I have communicated these issues with the dev and he agrees with most of it. Also, when I commented on the apparent ineffectiveness of torpedoes vs subs on the forums, he produced a patch to address it within 24 hours. Not bad. Right now, if you like games about carrier operations, which may be surprisingly more numerous than you may think they are, I'd give it a go. For me, I'm happy with the purchase and look forward to where this one might go.
I don't make a ton of reviews but i feel the need to in this case I want to like this game and be able to play and enjoy it but when all the button inputs listed in the in game manual are all broken and unresponsive to the actual key press on the keyboard and being unable to even do the simple act of moving the camera with the left click of the mouse makes this just a flat kill joy to try and play I have sadly at this moment requested a refund I hope that this game comes to find those who are able to play and love it sadly as it currently is its not for me Thank you for your response ss and no i was using the number keys across the top of my keyboard not the numpad the only button that did anything for me was right click on mouse to reset the camera to north I'm using a PC with Windows 10 OS
Great game for the price, lots of upgrades for the various platforms providing a good mix of strategy and tactical action. The developer is very receptive to questions and suggestions for the game's development and has already added some great new features since its initial release including the ability to jump into an F18 to engage in air combat directly. You can equip the Hawkeye with sonar and radar and its very important to try and keep it well defended as its crucial to detecting enemy subs in particular which pose a great threat to the carrier, once detected you can order the destroyer to intercept these subsurface threats, so lots to keep you busy. The developer has great plans for the future of the game but it is already playable and enjoyable in its current early access state.
I have played your game for a solid few minutes minutes, and I have encountered a few issues, first things first, your "tutorial" is way too short, I have barely enough time to read the tutorial on how to send out my planes before enemy planes appeared, I have also noticed a lack of settings, as in I can't change the audio or anything of the sort BUGS: I encountered a bug were I could send out my jets after I called them back( it showed they were still landing despite it also saying I had no planes in the air and I couldn't send them out) UI PROBLEMS: I also dislike that when I press escape and pause the game, none of the tutorials are there, but all of the tutorials are in the game manual in the menu at the bottom right of the screen(why not have it all in the escape menu?), CONTROLS: The plane controls are very unresponsive, when I press a or d to rotter left and right, it flips my plane upside down(although this just may be do to my lack of flying skills, but if you want to appeal to a wider audience, you should make it more user friendly) most of my criticisms would be solved if the game had a tutorial were I could freely learn the controls without the constant attacks of enemy planes, and were I could read the entire game manual in peace without having to go to the starter screen. In conclusion, I believe this game has a lot of potential, the plane flying could be a lot of fun and it I like the concept of the game, but it lacks a proper tutorial and its UI could be improved
this is not a very good game. carrier deck is still better than this. in 2023 this game is still unpolished and clunky. the concept is good but the developer clearly didnt think this all the way through. ive completed a few levels of this. but generally, every time i reinstall this game and give it another shot, i dislike it more than the last time i tried it and i uninstall it. its now about to be 2024 and all i can say is done waste your money. the game is now abandoned. told you so. call me a joker all you want but im absolutely right. lol kiss it.
This game has definitely turned out to be one of my better purchases as of late. The gameplay is engaging as you progress through various levels of difficulty and eventually unlock special missions, which are very different and add a great variety to your gameplay. I also like the way all upgrades in the game are available from the start but are limited by the amount of cash you have. Your cash builds through every level as you progress, so not spending it on unnecessary upgrades will assure a bigger cash amount to work with as the levels increase in difficulty. I have not yet gained the highest military rank yet, but all in good time. I have to say I am very impressed with what this solo developer has created and would highly recommend this game to anyone interested in military strategy games.
An attempt was made for sure... but nothing actually works. The concept is super cool though? Not worth playing. Go check out Carrier Command 2 though! If these 2 devs got together, they could really make something cool. Remember to eat all your beans, btw.
leider ist das für mich nix und für 8 noch was kann ich leider was besseres holen !
I would highly recommend this game to others. Carrier Commander is a naval warfare game that allows players to take on the role of a fleet commander, in charge of managing and deploying resources to complete missions and defend against enemy forces. Overall, Carrier Commander has received positive reviews for its immersive game play, challenging strategic elements, and realistic naval simulation. However, it is important to note that every player has their own unique preferences and tastes, so what may be enjoyable for one person may not be as enjoyable for another.
An interesting concept, but not one to spend money on, at least not 15 bucks. I'd wait for a 50% or greater sale before purchasing, the last update was two years ago and while it is certainly playable, it's like an old flash game where you wouldn't really put any effort into it, at least no more than the developer did.
