About
Cam conducts his entire life from his electronically automated smart-home. Work, shopping, entertainment and most notably: socialising. Cam interacts with strangers on the platform Hello Stranger: a randomised video chatting application.
Eventually, he encounters a masked stranger with an altered voice. Unnerved, Cam leaves the call only to find the stranger has hacked his smart-home and locked him in. The Stranger tells Cam that he must win three rounds of games or it is ‘game over’. Viewers must make decisions and play the 3 games for Cam to survive but one wrong choice could lead to a grisly end.
This FMV psychological horror-thriller game features:

Not being able to fast-forward and/or skip skenes kills this one. Losing a couple of times and having to replay scenes you've seen already pretty much kills all interest. And it's not like there was a lot after a boring 15 minutes of slice-of-life prologue.
100% the best FMV game I have played in a while. It became funny then it suddenly became super intense. Really well done. You can accidentally give yourself a headache though while playing, because the scenes where you have to memorise stuff then you get asked a question about it, it can literally knock you back into the 'reality'. My first ending is 'No Meals', which is probably one of the bad endings but wow, the acting is great too as they are real actors from real TV. Attempted to get a second ending, but the card game went a little weird for me. No offense, I would rather get 1 ending.
Dearest George Blagden, I am truly sorry for killing you so many times
This is a great game. And I emphasize "GAME". You actually feel like you are playing something. Too many of the new FMV "games" are just Choose Your Own Adventure. Those aren't games. This put CYA and made it a game. And there were actual games in the game! Highly recommend to FMV gaming fans. #FMVArchive
Hello Stranger is a short FMV thriller putting you in the shoes of Cam, a guy trapped in his smart home by a mysterious hacker. You’re forced to play deadly mini-games—like racing, platforming, or rock-paper-scissors—to survive, all while making life-or-death story choices. It’s around a 40-minute ride through modern-tech paranoia. Pros ✔️ Great bang-for-your-buck length – It delivers a full narrative punch in just under an hour, with strong replay value thanks to its three different game typess and 10 endings. ✔️ Mini-games add real stakes – The mix of reflex-based challenges keeps things from feeling like a passive interactive film, but without ever getting overwhelming. ✔️ Writing draws you in fast – The storyline hooked me almost immediately, and well-placed plot twists kept the tension sharp. Cons ❌ Feels too short – I wanted more—especially after seeing all the choice wheels. It ends just when it’s getting good. ❌ Not enough story variation – Some choices didn’t feel different enough, even after replaying. Felt like I’d seen most of the story too quickly. ❌ Endings left me wanting more – The conclusions felt abrupt, like someone stopped writing mid-scene. Conclusion I loved the pacing, adrenaline, and how it feels like a twisted Black Mirror short. But once it ended, I found myself wishing for just a bit more closure. Still? I think I’d play it again if they add even one more mini-game or an epilogue. Score: 8/10 Technical Terrorizers -A tight, tense FMV thriller that nails the setup—just needs a stronger finish to fully stick the landing.
As a fan of FMVs it's refreshing to see a feminist take where sometimes women also get punched in the end. I understand reading this you might not have context but you will. Maybe. It's short, I'd get it on sale.
An amazing FMV game the acting is on point and the plot is good with a great twist. The easter eggs are a great touch
clip from The gallery among others.
Looking forward to playing again to get a different ending.
