If war is the closest we get to hell on earth, it's because Earth harbours the worst of demons: humankind. In an isolated country ravaged by infighting, discover the secrets of your past and deal with the repercussions of a mysterious calamity.

Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.

About
Hell is Us is a 3rd-person action-adventure game that combines intense melee combat with the thrill of exploration. Explore a semi-open world to find answers to your questions and face mysterious creatures all along your journey.
As well as the civil war dividing the country, the region is suffering from a mysterious calamity, which has given rise to supernatural creatures that no modern weapon can defeat. Your drone and sword from a different age are your faithful allies as you cut a path through lands infested with terrifying chimeras and try to unravel the mystery of their appearance.
No map, no compass, no quest markers: following your instincts is part of the adventure. Enjoy a unique experience that uses innovative writing and level design to let you make your own decisions and follow your instincts as you explore. Your discoveries are yours alone.
Swords, spears and axes: a wide range of weapons forged specially for fighting these supernatural creatures is available. You will need to learn how to fight these monsters and use your drone wisely to stay alive.
''The central theme of Hell is Us is that human violence is a perpetual cycle fueled by human emotions and passions.''

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game is kinda cool for being like a hybrid of a soulslike that's full of exploration/lore built into it, no hand holding for puzzles(might need a guide for certain ones), and the atmosphere is so eerie with its dark themes and setting, I enjoyed it very much! But I do feel like this game was rushed in the last minute of development with the way act 2 ended and how short act 3 was, also the ending felt somewhat empty and a bit disappointing like if there's a sequel already planned or a expansion dlc to continue from that point(probably cut content). Either way it's pretty good and worth a try, especially if you can when on sale. <3

No map, no waypoints, no markers — just hints in your journal. Sounds painful, but the level design is good enough that I always knew where to go and what to look for. Music fits perfectly, especially the mystery atmosphere in the old ruins. Combat feels okay: all skill types actually work, so you can build whatever you like. Story is okay. Two complaints: the tower puzzle is masochistic, literally, and the 30 fps cutscenes feel laggy. If there's a second part, I'm playing it.
Great game! Reminded me more of Control and Remnant than any Soulslike I've played, but that has more to do with the atmposhere and sense of discovery than with the gameplay. I love that you can adjust how strong your enemies are, so you can get exactly the challenge you want! Main puzzles are all very doable. I wouldn't say easy but I could figuring everything out on my own. Reminded me of Resident Evil puzzles mostly. Side quests are a different thing, you'd have to be very invested in everything you read and quite sharp to figure out what belongs with what. In any case I loved this game and hate that it hasn't been a big hit.
Interesting world and atmosphere ruined by mediocre level design, confusing progression, trash puzzles and garbage combat. Hell is Us is a complete mess, from cryptic quest chains to crazy backtracking, trust me do not play this game if you want to keep your sanity. Even with guides you can still get lost and have no clues about you're supposed to do, that should tell you how much of a convoluted mess it is.
Rating: 4/10.
HELL IS US is not trying to be a Soulslike [ Thank God. ] Albeit it can be very difficult in certain spots. Now I've only put a few hours into it but I love the art direction, the smooth gameplay, and the world building this game oozes throughout the concept. There's some really dark atmosphere here that has very somber writing that we just don't see in a lot of games today. Too many games play it safe whereas I feel Hell is Us makes sure to treat certain themes realistically in such a twisted way. Not everything is politically correct during war to make it comfortable for you. Instead you come across some very telling imagery and side characters that have been through, well, HELL! • Fantastic gameplay with smooth movement and precise combat. • World around you feels desperately alive, and I mean, DESPERATE. • Side quests do feel as though they are tethered into the world with care. Sure, some might feel a little like your usual fetch quests but in the end the way it is woven into how it can result in helping someone's misery is a nice touch. • Considering the Creative Director for this one is the same guy who helped bring two of my ultimately favorite games to life with Deus Ex Human Revolution and Deus Ex Mankind Divided? I was all in from the reveal. Here's to hoping he and his team can make either a sequel to this or a new project.
