About
Hell Galaxy is a thrilling singleplayer space shooter that blends weird fiction, dark gritty sci-fi, and transhumanism into a unique gaming experience. Take control of a raider — an ex-convict turned bio-ship hybrid — and carve out your place in the dangerous Galaxy of Neterun, where you have been exiled for eternity.
Accused of murder and stripped of your human body, you awaken as something new: a consciousness fused into the metal shell of a bio-ship. Flesh and bone are a memory — what's left of you now lives in the hull, the modules, the guns you bolt onto yourself. In Neterun there is no going back to human, only forward, into whatever deadlier thing you choose to become. Rise above rival raiders and uncover the secrets buried in ancient Neterunian ruins.
Every encounter in Neterun is a fight on two fronts: your hull can be torn apart, but so can your mind. Shift your focus between balanced, aggressive, and defensive states and adapt on the fly to what's hunting you — the ghostly creatures of this galaxy threaten your sanity as much as your armor. Read each enemy, reconfigure your build, and choose which part of yourself you're willing to risk: the ship that keeps you alive, or the mind that keeps you you.
Your survival depends on a fully customizable ship. Gather resources and install modules, starting from your cockpit, to reshape yourself into an ever-deadlier raider.
Experiment with countlessc ombinations and adapt to the dangers of exile — no two raiders have to be built the same way.
Explore a visually stunning galaxy rich with forgotten lore, shadowy ruins, and hostile creatures that threaten both body and mind. Encounter rival raiders, uncover the stories of other exiles, and piece together a world where humanity is only a distant memory.

Absolutely loved this game. The deep ship customization paired with the isolating, "lost in space" atmosphere is a perfect match. It's a haunting and beautiful experience from start to finish. It should be noted that while performance is generally decent, there are occasional frame rate drops. However, for an Early Access title, it's very promising, and these issues feel easily addressable.
The atmosphere and the setting is pretty good, like the ship customizations and the gameplay feels pretty good, although the UI and triggers should be revisited a bit (in a game where I'm piloting a giant spaceship how can I aim perfectly at small boxes to trigger things??). Many point out to the optimization, which is pretty bad, but is something that is fixable with time. There are some bindings missing in the key binding menu, such as the scanner button. Going to point A to point B is kinda boring since the game has very gigantic areas. Some missions are a bit frustrating but they are manageable once you get the hang of the spaceship gameplay. Overall, the game still requires some work on it, but I can see where they are going for; check this game out when on sale.
The game features a sci‑fi atmosphere of space and futuristic themes. The cutscenes are highly immersive and enjoyable. Right from the start, you feel thrown into a dark game environment that gets straight to the point, balancing lore and gameplay well. The design of the spaceship and surrounding environment is very distinctive and polished, evoking some horror and cyberpunk vibes from the 2000s. The sound design is very good, and the voice acting paired with the dialogue is excellent. It's great that mission choice is wide open even early in the game. I ran into a few bugs on the loading screen when reloading a checkpoint forcing me to close and reopen the game, but nothing during actual gameplay. I would have preferred some of the dialogue to be a bit slower. The ship upgrade and inventory systems work well, and the missions are varied and a lot of fun. Overall, recommended game!

The game is certainly trying its best at being unique and it does a good job taking its identity in the genre, which by itself is already unique by combining the RPG elements with the spaceship combat with a great variety of upgrades and weapons. The driving of the ship itself comes very natural and smooth, which proves to be very satisfying in combat and exploration. Also the audio design is very, very good with the classic sci-fi laser-shooting cannons and alien organic matter splashing on your ship. When it comes to the secondary missions, I wish it was a bit clearer and encouraged you in actually doing them, maybe with a tutorial. Also some secondary weapons straight up do nothing, like the missiles which the game tells you are supposed to lock on targets which is straight not true, that should be fixed. There are a lot of UI related bugs but it's probably gonna get fixed in the full release like the normal cursor hovering the in-game cursor, or the interact bar displaying the turbo gauge when its not what i was activating, I sometimes got stuck in the upgrade section for 30 seconds-ish before I could get out, but this could be related to my limited hardware. The game is certainly in for some major fixing before coming out of early access but for what I’ve seen it got a lot of potential for becoming better than what it even strives for. Either way this game premise is great and I look forward to more updates and content, I strongly suggest you give it a look for yourself and try it out for sure!
A really cool game with a great atmosphere and excellent designs that remind me of Warhammer 40k universe. The plot looks interesting, and the voice acting is surprisingly good for an indie game. Ship controls and map navigation are definitely the best parts of the experience. However, it has some flaws. Interaction with structures or objects is too slow, which completely breaks the flow of high-speed space exploration. Furthermore, the instability mechanic is somewhat frustrating due to these long interaction times. The UI needs some tweaking: objectives should be easier to find, especially when using the radar. Customization is promising but occasionally glitchy. On the technical side, the game runs smoothly on maximum settings, maintaining over 90fps during combat. It’s a rough diamond right now, but with a few patches, it has the potential to truly shine.
Honestly, I had a pretty good time with Hell Galaxy. The gameplay is fun, the combat feels snappy, and once you get going it's really easy to sink an hour into it without even noticing. The sci-fi vibe is pretty cool too, and the progression keeps you coming back for "just one more run." It's not flawless though. Things can get a bit repetitive after a while, and I would've liked to see a bit more enemy variety. I also had a few small performance hiccups here and there, but nothing game-breaking. Overall, I'd say it's definitely worth picking up if you're into fast-paced action games. It still has some rough edges, but the fun factor is 100% there. Looking forward to seeing what the devs cook up next.
I'd say yeah, but just barely. Might be a good idea to wait for a sale, and wait for some serious bug fixes. The gameplay is like Everspace, for those who've played it. This includes enemy fighters, turrets, and cruiser-style capital ships with destructible turrets. The story is ok. Kind of shallow, and a few plot holes. The ending is confounding. The bugs and quirks. They are galore right now. You can finish the game, but it'll be frustrating. I believe another review noted, quest markers don't reliably show up. Icons for points of interest, such as stations, sector gates, friendly (quest giver) units, and stabilizers, can show up at comically short range. I spent a lot of time frustrated looking for a station to dock at, or the gate to a certain area. Main quest icons are okay, but side quest icons can fail to show up. This is especially frustrating when the quest is in a different sector. I've had to activate tracking for another quest in the area I was trying to reach, go through the gate to the area, then switch tracking to the quest I intended to complete. Toward the end of the game, the targeting button 'T' stops reliably working. I've destroyed a number of enemies with manual aim before the game would let me target them. That was frustrating. If you beat the game, it plays the ending, displays credits, and returns you to the main menu. If you click 'continue', you can load where you were after the final boss battle, for a post-end game. It looks like this was an unintended feature - the quest and inventory menus are permanently disabled unless you're docked at a station, and the final boss theme continues to play. Active quests can only be changed when docked at a station, all of which have become difficult to locate. Quest visibility is unreliable. I might be wrong, but some side quests may be impossible, especially at the end of the game. There's a quest to activate 3 objects in short order, in an area containing invincible turrets. The scanner only shows 2 objects. Likewise, there's a quest to activate 15 power cells. The scanner only shows 7, even after looking around and scanning for a few minutes. If you equip weapons/engines in place of extension arms that have items equipped on them, the items equipped on the arms will disappear instead of returning to inventory.
