Guided only by VIRGIL, his AI companion, Daniel must navigate seven interconnected facilities scattered across the ocean floor, each step bringing him closer to a chilling truth hidden in the darkness. But some horrors are better left buried - something watches, something waits. Descend into the unknown. Revive the colony. Unearth the truth. And remember - survival is expected.

Creepy jellyfish zombies and existential dread. Also, extra points for the nod to the carpet from The Shining.
Loved the psychological horror atmosphere, the simple mechanics and the existential dread stuff close at the end, though I'd love the lore hints to be more visible at first glance, or at least a couple of them, not all, 9/10 loved it
Deep sea pant pooping horror. Great atmosphere. Great sound design. Great retro visuals. The nautical aspect of the game could be a bit more prominent as your ship and sometimes seeing jellyfish were the main things that reminded me I was at the bottom of the ocean during my hour a gameplay. The monster that I ran into was really easy to get away from and kind of took the tension out of the game which made me think that it would have actually been better if the monster kept teasing me longer instead of turning into a game of cat and mouse. I visited two of the 7(?) locations both of which were very different so perhaps farther into the game the oceanic aspect becomes more apparent. Overall really great horror vibes.
Very nice horror scifi love craftian game. You and your trusty old reliable submarine. The dark yet creepy lonely atmospheric feeling hovering around you. Sometimes I feel like Im in space vs being in the creepy depths. For a small game, this one is very nice and flew right under the radar. A+ devs!
cute and wholesome! love to see indie games like this that have really interesting concepts and themes, short sweet and memorable c:
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Excellent! Hell Dive is an absolute gem in the indie horror scene. A chilling, immersive experience that proves you don’t need a massive budget to create something truly haunting. Set deep beneath the ocean’s crushing pressure, the game’s premise is simple yet brilliantly executed: restore power to underwater habitats aboard a stranded submarine while uncovering what went horribly wrong. From the moment you descend into the abyss, the tension is palpable. The sound design alone is enough to keep you on edge, the creaks of metal, the distant groan of the ocean, and the hum of failing machinery make every moment feel alive and hostile. The visuals capture that cold, claustrophobic beauty of the deep sea, with flickering lights and shadowy corridors that constantly make you question what’s lurking just out of sight. What truly makes Hell Dive stand out is its pacing. It doesn’t rely on cheap jump scares; instead, it builds dread through atmosphere, exploration, and environmental storytelling. Each habitat tells a fragment of a larger, unsettling narrative, rewarding players who pay attention to detail. It’s rare to find a game that nails both horror and immersion this effectively. Hell Dive is a reminder of what makes indie horror so special — creativity, tension, and storytelling that stays with you long after you’ve surfaced. A haunting, unforgettable descent into darkness.
Check out my video https://youtu.be/YlipHtp7nI8?feature=shared Hell Dive throws you into a chaotic descent through the underworld, blending fast-paced platforming with bullet hell intensity. You’ll dodge, dash, and dive through procedurally generated levels filled with traps, enemies, and secrets. The minimalist visuals keep the focus on tight controls and twitch reflexes, while each run feels fresh thanks to randomized layouts. It’s brutal, stylish, and endlessly replayable.
What do you get when you combine underwater survival, submarine management and Inferno (the first part of The Divine Comedy)? You get Hell Dive, a neat little horror game.
