Awesome bite sized atmospheric horror game that takes place deep underwater. Your character is in a submarine and travels along 7 different stations encountering all different kinds of unique horror oddities. Gameplay revolves around both driving the submarine and exploring the different underwater stations. The game takes approximately 1-2 hours to complete. + The game is full of atmosphere and genuinely scary in parts. Most scares are unique, original, and clever. You don’t really see them coming. + Each station has its own uniqueness to it with new fun gameplay elements. The game is always fun and never stale during its whole runtime, constantly adding new gameplay mechanics. + Awesome ending and the cutscenes are super well made. + The story ends up being a bit cliche but it is still well told with cutscenes and voice acting. + Excellent sound design - Controlling the submarine takes a few minutes to get used to. - The game is a bit dark (but you can turn the brightness up in the options) The retro graphics will not be to everyone’s liking. - The game is priced a bit high at $10 for the length, try to get it on sale. Definitely pick this up if you’re into these kind of games. The submarine indie horror genre is picking up steam, and this is one of the best ones available. Overall: 8.5/10
Very interesting game, took inspiration from Dantes inferno. Lots of biblical meaning. The message at the end holds true. Unsure how to repent in game if that's even possible Found a monkey with blue balls in facility 7.
Absolute Amazing Horror Game 10/10 Horror 10/10 Design 10/10 Gameplay If you want a Great Game for a Great Price, this game is for you, a great story and gameplay, Extremely Immersive, fun Puzzles and Scary atmosphere. I recommend anyone to buy this game and play it. It reminds me a lot of what Iron Lung could of been. That being said if you are a fan of Iron Lung you will have an Amazing time playing this game. With Updates promised to Hell Dive I am relieved knowing the Developers are taking care of it and are keeping it alive with more Gameplay, Story, and Patches to help fix any issues.
Le parfait mélange entre Iron Lung et Lost in Vivo ! De l'horreur variée et toujours plaisante. Pas de frustration en jeu, juste l'histoire et une impression de profondeur qui ne fait que grandir. Un des classiques de l'horreur indé !
A short but sweet game. a fanciful interpretation of danta's inferno. I saw it on alpha beta gamer, and a little into the video, decided to stop watching and pick up the game. Worth it. also weirdly the hotel encounter was kinda sweet.
Gets very spooky without overstaying its welcome, definitely a must-play for any indie horror fan.
While I've received dozens of games for free to play on my channel, Hell Dive is one I've kept coming back to. My first playthrough was a good horror experience for its price, with well-timed jump scares and a low poly aesthetic that lends to the creepy atmosphere of the environment. My second playthrough was more about hunting achievements and trying to piece together the lore of this game. I'll warn you, you really have to stitch it together yourself, but what's there is very intriguing and I've always enjoyed every visit to this game's universe. To borrow a line from Portal without spoiling Hell Dive's story too much, the cake is a lie. I encourage you to try to put it all together. However, my third playthrough is what really solidified to me that Hell Dive is a hidden gem of indie horror. With the 1.3 update, the developers brought a massive update to the audio of the game. The sound effects and ambience of every level have added an incredible sense of immersion and cinematic tension that elevates this title to entirely new heights. If you're still on the fence, another major update has been announced for the story elements and I eagerly await checking those out in what will be my fourth playthrough of Hell Dive. Seeing the passion that the developers have for this game is so encouraging in an era where indie titles are increasingly becoming AI-produced slop to make a quick buck. Please don't skip on this one if you love psychological horror.
You know, you never really appreciate what good sound design and proper music does to enhance a game. Until it doesn't have it :(
