Video (gameplay + commentary):
https://youtu.be/iEY9jrww39g
Summary:
Great horror game with interesting visuals and a nice dose of symbolism in its imagery. From the scenarios we've done so far, they seem pretty bite-sized (in a good way!) with straight forward objectives like locating a key or simply escaping. You're being hunted by a pretty intimidating monster and we absolutely LOVE the audio and visual effects that happen when it gets too close or captures us. Gameplay-wise, it never felt unfair if we were caught by the monster, and the peeking mechanics when sneaking around felt solid. The story shapes up in a very non-linear way with the promise that it comes together in the end. We're not quite there yet, but so far we are enjoying gathering the pieces of each part of the story and trying to make sense of it. Would recommend!
I don't usually like horror style games but this one had just the right amount of creepy to keep you going. The story grabbed me and I didn't want to stop. There's so many twists the story takes and you'll want to experience this.

I played this as part of an Extra Life stretch goal stream. A friend gifted it to me for that purpose and based on the visuals, I thought it looked pretty good. I am sorry to say that this really didn't do much for me. Pros: -Some interesting imagery. -Quite good sound design. -Distortion effects when looking at enemies are really awesome and add to the creepy atmosphere. Cons: -Visual atmosphere is nice but game has a warped sense of scale. -Story makes very little sense and doesn't conclude in a satisfying fashion at all. -Levels either have no threats or are filled with frustrating stealth sequences. -Level design very basic for the most part, except for a couple of later levels that are frustrating platforming slogs with no action or tension whatsoever. -Back third of the game is doing slight remixes of levels you've already done. -The last major encounter in the game is an exercize in frustration, made worse by terrible, seemingly random checkpointing. You can see what the developer was trying to achieve here but I think the ambition went quite a bit beyond the execution and by the end, I was glad the experience was over. I do hope the developer learned a lot from this and does get a chance to make another game because I think they have the potential to take that experience and make something awesome. However, there are much better indie horror experiences than this in my opinion.
I did not finish the game yet. But fair to say this is not my cup of tea. I am not sure where they are going with this. Rating 2.5 / 5 average game Positive + the chasing scenes were alright + no hand holding (although that also might lead to frustration at times) + some puzzles are neat Negative - having to replay parts when you click on a photo. At first it was just not clear why this was happening. - story is just too weird - graphics - sound was very annoying at times - only key rebinding once you started a new run
Brilliant .
THE BEST HORROR GAME IN THE WORLD 11/10 WOULD BUY AGAIN
One of a handful of games that made me feel genuine dread, in the levels with monsters to avoid. The rest is pretty good too.
It's pretty decent. And especially on sale you're getting a good bang for your buck. There's no real jump scares, just interesting environments to find your way around while a fragmented story is slowly pieced together before your eyes. I definitely enjoyed it. It seems incredible unknown given the number of reviews but it's a lot better than a lot of the budget horror games you'd get on steam.
