Heldric - The legend of the shoemaker is a game that has great potential. The king has left your kingdom and you step up to the role of a knight and defend your city. This is a different take on tower defenses, because you have a main character to take control of and wreck the enemy. Build up your city and defend it with your fellow villagers. Place defenses and buildings in between waves of attackers and upgrade those buildings to help you overcome the enemies. Not every level is the same and the enemies get progressively harder, making you have to change your strategy as you progress. I would recommend this game if you have extra cash and you like hack and slash/ tower defense games. You have both a sword as well as a bow/arrow in your arsenal, you will definitely need both to defeat the different types of enemies you face. The only negative comment I have for this are the controls for the main character in battle, it isn't as smooth as I'd want it to be, but it doesn't ruin the game. The more I play it, the more I enjoy it. tl;dr Try it, I like it, you might too.
Soooo Il try to be short and helpful I got this game from a friend didnt buy it,but this game left positive impresion on me. It have mix of hack&slash and tower defence, so kind gives some freshness in style of gameplay. Game is easy to get and fast to learn for beginners, as for some experienced players it will give them hours of good casual gaming. Personaly I didnt encounter any glitches or bugs, game is decent , playable , enjoyable and totaly worth 9,99. It does need some polishing but my overal grade for this title is 8/10

Ok it's time to put some of these crappy reviews to bed. I have completed this game and I have actually enjoyed this game. I was reading the reviews here and was thinking, "this can't be that bad" so I was already going into this game expecting a sub par experience. I have played this game to the end, I even live streamed the entire games play through. To my surprise, this game was no where near the sub par experience that I was expecting that I saw a few people here post. As the developer has said, this isn't a hard core game meant for that sort of audience. If you are looking for the next RTS or Tower Defense game that has more features then I care to read about, then you wont find it here. If you wanna have a nice time checking out what this game has to offer as far as just PURE FUN value, then you have your self a winner. I really liked my play through and I was notified of this games bug fixes just before the holidays and complete update to change what is in the games current state. Not many developers even go back on there single player experiences and actually fix there issues. "TOWNS anyone?" I have played an extensive amount of kick starter titles and hobby made games and this game has surpassed all of them. My opinion here people is this, if you haven't played the game and actually experienced it, then why are you writing a novel sized negetive review when you have less then an hour. Either way, the game itsef is actually really good. This game at launch had some issues, but nothing that was really serious. I even managed to do a first impressions video a long time ago on my channel show casing what it looked like and I gave the developer a really hard time about it. He took it very well and actually listened to me about my feed back. Speaking of novel sized reviews, I am almost done. What makes this game good to me, I like how this game has evolved since I played it, "I haven't even seen the updated game yet, I will be doing a second play through". I like the idea of how you place the towers down and the platforms, and the villagers immediately know what to do. I didn't have any of the normal issues of characters walking through each other, or trying to get themselves killed in a goblin battle. The amount that you get to choose from, towers, housing, fires, even barricades finds itself with a nice balance to not over whelm the player and yet has its own ways of making you use the tools that are presented in front of you. The story is different "but different good", hes not some over powering stereo type hero. Hes a member of society that has taken stand for what his fellow towns men are going through. This dev is very small and has done a lot of work. They are listening to all of our worries and concens and are working a LOT to keep up with our demands. I stress this again, these sort of devs are RARE and TO FEW that exist. Keep that in mind the next time you ♥♥♥♥♥ wanna troll this games dev. Good reason as to why some of these guys don't wanna help you lot when it comes to bug fixes.

Funny little tactical game. On the whole I like it. However two points make me angry: 1. Character is often stuck and cannot move or do anything. 2. AI occasionally wanders around and waits for something unclear. Also it would be nice if there were more content: weapon choices, upgrades, enemies, orders for villagers etc.
I like it a good way to kick back and kill some time. As a tower defense type game its enjoyable especially if you like clicking. It could include more story elements also would have liked to have more trap options, gear and fortifications.
The game controls on this are right up there with Superman 64. The character goes from being stuck to lurching across the screen. Targeting is made difficult because of this clunky design. Got as far as the tutorial before bailing on it. The game is just barely churning along on my gaming laptop which makes no sense considering how low res everything is at maximum. I'm not concerned with graphics over playability, but the game's performance is a struggle at best.
Heldric - The legend of the shoemaker is a fun game to play it also plays rather fast you can get through the first 5 levels in less than an hour of game play. The game has a Diablo like feel I also like the graphics as there appealing to me. Some of the big draw backs are the fact it is lacking replay ability and it could have a good story line for instance why am I traveling from town to town other than that is what I have to do in order to keep playing.
Edit: I've redone the review since I saw how horrid my grammar was. So, I'm not really one for reviewing games, but I did enjoy the game so here goes. On the graphical side, the old school Fable like graphics give the game a nice rustic feel to it that easily fits the primitive and mystic theme of the game. In terms of game play, while the layout of the maps may seem random when you first load the level, they are well thought out with not only clear lines of fire, but well placed locations for the specific types of buildings that serves to aid in the end game to get the most out of your buildings if properly done, or ruin you if improperly placed. In terms of mechanics, I've found that by and large, the over all stats of the weapons, buildings, and enemies are well balanced. And over all, the storyline, while slightly implausible, is never the less enjoyible and can be pretty addictive for the right player. The only problems that I've found with the game can be summed up in two items. A, On the mechanics side, I found that the cost of the defense crystals is sightly imbalanced with the weapon costing too much for the damage dealt on stage 1, and very cheap for stage 2. B, The game has some memory problems on older systems causing it to sputter even on the lowest settings once you get past a few levels.
Has alots potential on wasted.
