good game
Make Rome great again!
Good game
Its an awesome real time grand strategy game in the Roman era, they don't make games like this anymore.
Criminally underrated, this game never got the recognition it truly deserved. If Paradox had any sense, they would have bought the rights and turned it into a full-fledged series—instead of churning out Civilization clones. While the game does suffer from a lack of polish, but its core systems are brilliant. It is a genius solution to the long-standing challenge of blending strategic and tactical view—something the Total War series could not pull off. It weaves together the grand strategy of territorial expansion, economic management, and maintaining supply lines, with the intensity of tactical raids and pitched battles. There’s something immensely satisfying about bringing a great city to its knees over the course of a year-long campaign—cutting off supply lines, destroying relief armies, building key forts—and then realizing you’ve pushed too far as critical bridge is lost. Watching your army begin to starve because you overextended yourself is maddening… but it feels earned. It feels right Next revolution in strategy gaming was here and we all missed it. Now we have to play Total war Saga: Mario Cart dynasties
The game itself is fine, though nothing really special. What I cannot accept is the game freezing and then not allowing me to close it without restarting my computer. If it were not for that my review would be more positive.
Fun but too ez against computer; if it was multiplayer it would be amazing.
I really don't understand how this game isn't more known. It is absolute great. i can only recommend.
Love the need to consider logistics, money, resources... limited diplomacy however, means you just end up blobbing the map. Would love to see a more active diplomacy with the ability to form trade networks, protectorates and alliances with other factions.
I highly recommend this game. If you are a fan of the Total War series, you must try it.
