Have a Nice Death is a 2D action roguelike where you play as an overworked Death, whose employees have run rampant, completely throwing off the balance of souls - and his vacation plans. In order to restore order, you'll have to grab your trusty scythe and show your employees who's boss.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.29/day in the week to Aug 17 → 2.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

after an hour of playing aka 1 run i can say that, it's not that fun the art style is good the characters and dialogs are meh the gameplay itself is not that fun to be honest i would prefer to play any other roguelikes and if you are someone who liked the gameplay i would recommend you to play guacamelee
I want this game to be better, so badly, but there are no real options as far as meta progression outside unlocking weapons, which is another point of contention, as the more expensive unlocks often feel less powerful than some base items. the gameplay itself is fine, but it suffers from the atomic thrown issue where they give you a health bar, but dieing often happens in what feels like less than a second so there's no options besides avoiding damage all together...which would be fine if they didn't also give you a health bar, or some type of buffer like extra lives or something to make the runs feel less..samey

死之割
The game feels really repetitive; you kind of get sick of it after a while. But it's good in other ways; gameplay is solid, and there are very cool soundtracks. But I guess it's my fault for playing Hollow Knight & Silksong right before I played this game.
What an incredible indie game. Have a Nice Death really surprised me, just like when I played Hollow Knight for the first time. I’m not usually a fan of 2D games, nor am I a big indie enthusiast, but Hollow Knight helped me become more open-minded about this type of game—and Have a Nice Death is extremely addictive. It offers a great variety of powers and attacks, beautiful graphics, and very vibrant colors. I truly loved this game and would recommend it even to people who don’t usually enjoy 2D or indie games—it’s just that fun.
It's a nice game. But it had a lot of scope for improvement. At it's core it's a lot like Dead Cells, curses = scrolls, randomised weapons, procedurally generated levels. But it just doesnt have the same level of charm to it's levels. All the levels feel the same, the enemies aren't very interesting. The bosses are pretty cool and the dialogue between characters are quite funny as well. Overall a 6.5/10 I love Pump Quinn.
TL;DR: Beautiful game that is insanely punishing, frustratingly so If style was all a game needed, this game would have it in spades. The muted color pallete works wonders for the bleak, corporate atmosphere. Every characters design is beautifully distinct with wonderful and adorable animations. The music fits the game very well with its range of elevator music, corpo-chill relaxation areas, and upbeat boss themes. The dialogue is charming and features pretty much every corpo-personality and the smack talk between your character and the bosses is often times quite funny as they comment on just about everything from how much damage you've taken, how many enemies you've beaten, or gear you have equipped. Just a shame the problems occur when you start the play. While the game plays well with streamlined movement and animations, the issues stem more from the main hurdles with the mini-boss and boss encounters. Your character takes a large amount of damage from just about everything but outside of a few odd "big" hits due to the lack of feedback you will oftentimes find yourself taking damage without noticing it and then you lose the run because you had been taking hits you didn't notice. Even with the big hits, a lot of them are very poorly telegraphed so combine lack of hit stun, hit reaction, or animations an enemy will wind up a massive hit that you won't notice and then suddenly you've lost 1/2th your HP with a quick follow up to end your run. The amount of times a run will be going well, you get to the boss, then you get killed almost immediately because the boss will either throw out a major AoE with next to no warning (particularly the final bosses), throws out a hitbox that lingers just a "bit" to long that doesn't match the animation (a lot of mini-bosses and the final bosses), or will throw out a major hit with next to no warning or telegraph (pretty much every boss) leads to a lot of frustrating encounters. The game does so much right in terms of how it looks and sounds but it's just a shame that I feel it doesn't feel all that good to play due to telegraphs, hit feedback, and inaccurate hitboxes. If you have a high tolerance for frustration this might be fine for you.
I really enjoy it's atmosphere and art-style. It's premise and theme feels especially pertinent to what has been the common western 'work culture' for the last few decades. However the combat in this game feels incredibly basic; there doesn't appear to be much in the way of combos beyond mashing X with the occasional Y or B, and from what I've seen the weapons you unlock don't improve on this. Many of the upgrades you find as you progress in your run don't feel very impactful. Then just reading through the descriptions of the permanent upgrades you spend gold on, none of them sound like they will improve the experience. Overall, a bit disappointing and underwhelming when compared to it's action rogue-like competition.
A terribly enjoyable roguelike, with a lot of heart, fun builds, great bosses and a very enjoyable loop.
im so ass the game told me to go on easy mode 😭😭😭
