+Cross Platform +Fun Escape Room +Well made +/-Price for content -No one online -Somewhat Easy 4/5 If you have anywhere from 2 to 4 people who will buy this and play it with you, I would definitely recommend it. It's a fun quirky and nicely made co-op experience for all VR headsets. This game is great, totally recommended! The controls are intuitive and simple, and the gameplay is really engaging. No drops in framerate or lost tracking any of the times I've played. Some of these puzzles will really leave you scratching your ghostly head, but they're all loads of fun! The snarky narration is pretty funny, and I ABSOLUTEY LOVE the art style! It's like if you threw all the best parts of Disney's Haunted Mansion ride and Nightmare Before Christmas into a cauldron and peppered in some extra-toony, dabbing/flossing ghosts to taste! I've had a chance to play this with a few friends, as well as a few times alone and each session has been a blast! I'd say it's well worth the 6 bucks full- price, but as of writing this in launch week its f2p and 40% off to own, so get on it! My solo-playthru time to beat is 21 mins 17 secs, so come @ me! *Pro-tips: Get the crystal wand ASAP, also squatting in the cauldron in the pre-game lobby is a great place for spying on friends ;)
fun VR co-op game to play with your friends. Is very hard. Am stuck. Help appreciated plz.
Very beautiful and challenging escape game with nice graphics and a nice story. It still needs some finetuning and polishing and control impovements, but the devs are very responsive and working on it. It is fun to play with your friends and has a great atmosphere. We did not beat it on our first try, but we are looking forward to play it again and complete it. Pros: Multiplayer!! incl ingame voicechat Challanging Nice voiceacting and music Very nice level design Nice story very affordable Cons: Only teleport and no turning (devs said they are working on this) Some smaller issues, like every new released game has Maybe there is, but at least I couln't find a hint system yet. Sum up: If you like escape games and have a friend to play with, definately give this game a try! I personally don't like playing escape games solo, since that takes a lot of the fun. So this was a must have for me.
THIS GAME IS AMAZING! I play on my HTC Vive on a computer with less than recommended specs for VR graphics and i have NO problems whatsoever! The gameplay was both fun solo and with friends (tho it is a lot easier if you have more ppl to play with. The room itself feels massive, constantly opening more and more rooms and even when you dont make it the first time, you can play again with a bit of a head start (but some answers are randomized so it will be different). for a VR game, its cheap, running only $6 and an even cheaper escape room, since most are about $25-30 and thats only getting one shot in the room. TLDR: being an avid VR player and escape room junky. I LOVE THIS GAME! Though, its much better if you have at least 1 other friend to play with
Quite frankly, awful.
fun vr co-op game. Just can't figure out how to beat it...
Where to start, I've played this game using Oculus Rift, first of all. The controls aren't properly mapped. The menu is... really lacking. The framerate when you start a game drops significantly. If you change your color or costume, you can sometimes see your avatar obstructing you view. And the movement, is really awful.
Fun Co Op Escape room Game to play with friends. Picking up items was somewhat buggy and items would randomly jump out of my hands or fall through the floor. But then re appear at the lost and found part. It was also not obvious straight away that you could travel up to the second floor with the movement. Still the game was fun, we only got 2 orbs on our first attempt but looking forward to trying more.
The art is beautiful, sound design is wonderful, the script is awesome, but the user experience is frustrating. Sooo much potential! Problems I've gotten frustrated with: *Held items still have collision. So trying to hold an item, like a book, can be more difficult than you expect it to be when you are near a wall, for example. *The teleport function requires a twist of the arm, instead of the usual joystick-controlled teleport aim. Something that wouldn't be too bad if it wasn't for the next frustration... *Each time you teleport forward (twisting your hand 90 degrees), to keep going forward you have to twist in the opposite direction each time. I can't explain this one. *Valve Index Knuckles support is sorta there, but the hand pose is wrong so it makes it difficult to play with. Had to switch to HTC Wands. *Having a quick-turn option would be EXTREMELY helpful in this type of game (using joystick left/right or touchpad swipe) *Books constantly fall through floor and disappear completely making progress impossible. *Books, when grabbed, frequently get positioned on the hand at weird angles. It makes it difficult to see the text of the book when it's backwards. I'm afraid to put the book down to fix this....because the book might fall through the floor and disappear. Fix the glitchy user experience, and this will be a top-notch game!
