So I got Cube loop 100% because I thought it may be like the movies I grew up with but it was now. Pros: Multiple game modes Simple enough design Ran smooth enough Cons: Puzzle was meh It feels cheaper than I thought once I played it It almost feels like an intro VR game that got ported into a regular game. I tried it, it wasn't awful, I can't justify it costing 10 bucks at this point, and sadly it doesn't look like there will be any update anytime soon to fix its shortcomings.

My Experience Although it spent a lot of time on my wishlist, I finally tried CubeLoop recently with a co-op partner. Although I tend to enjoy co-op escape room-type experiences, something about the presentation of CubeLoop, the maze component, and the way that developer Factory Trashcension describes the game ("every mistake can cost you your life[,] and something that will hurt you more than your life.") led me to wait until a recent sale to finally pull the trigger. Although I did appreciate the minimalist philosophy of the design (upon launching the game you're unceremoniously thrown into a bare lobby with a phone in the middle to recruit allies), I found the graphics to be ugly and the maze component to be monotonous. I groaned after launching the second puzzle, as the structure was so similar to that of the tutorial. I'm still in these boring gray rooms, getting zapped with laser grids after each mistake. Unfortunately, we got stuck on this second puzzle. We attempted to devise multiple rules for how to proceed correctly, but none were correct. After much protestation from my co-op partner, we even activated the three puzzle hints in the lobby, but still couldn't figure out what we were supposed to do. My co-op partner seemed to get close to a solution when thinking of the rooms "like a 9-grid," but we never completed the puzzle. At this point, I've played at least 20 different co-op escape room games. This isn't to say that I'm some sort of expert (and this also isn't the first time I've gotten stuck), but just to say that this isn't my first rodeo. Sometimes, the logic of the developer just doesn't mesh with that of the player, and I think that perhaps that's what happened here. I had a similar experience with a different co-op partner playing the co-op escape room title To Be Headed Or Not To Be. Suffice it to say I don't think I can recommend CubeLoop. At the same time, perhaps other players have had similar experiences to mine. Of the three positive reviews that exist at the time of this writing, one is the only review written by the user (and was written after 6 minutes of playtime), another is written by a player who outright says that they "didn't like the game," and a third simply says "mt ruim" (whatever that means).
didnt like the game myself but it looked pretty neet game
