I can hardly add anything here that hasn't already been said a hundred times over. But, because this game was incredible, I'm gonna try and summarise my thoughts anyway. PLAYTIME: I logged significantly more time in this game than most people here. Part of that was me leaving the game window open while I was making food and doing household stuff before I realised I was artificially raising my playtime stat -I'm not *that* much of a perv, I promise. There's hours of story content to engage with though. I also messed around with outfits and furniture a lot, and spent several in-game days looking around the map seeking random encounters and hidden scenes. I'm not sure how much time I actually spent playing, but more than 12 is a safe bet. For reference, I clocked out at "Day 134" in-game, pretty sure I did everything the game had to offer. NSFW CONTENT: Still a benchmark of the genre after all this time. *insert all the stuff everyone else has already said about it.* This game is especially hot when it hits a spot that does it for you personally, of course... but you know the writing is *genuinely* good when you can play a scene about a fetish you don't personally share and still come away from it with appreciation and more understanding of what makes it hot. So many fetishes explored, including some niche ones I personally adore but hadn't ever thought to see meaningfully represented in a game (shoutout to everyone who'd like to be physically disassembled by hot lesbian engineers, this is the game for you). STORY: The game does not enforce any play order, but I would recommend playing through all the character story lines before playing Main Story 15, which sets off the de-facto ending of the story. The game warns you that you won't be able to play the character scenes while this part of the story plays out, though you can return to them afterwards. However, returning to the fun, quirky sex stories after the dramatic ending will feel like a massive whiplash and not make a lot of narrative sense. All these people showing up in the main plot to help you out also seem more impactfull if you've played through their individual stories. The story is great, but occasionally -for me personally- the lack of spoilers available online for the main plot made it a bit nerve-wracking. As it may be a comfort for anyone like me who loves knowing "the right choice", it doesn't look like the choices really impact the eventual outcome a lot, though some of them cause scenes to play out differently, only to end up in the same end point. If a choice will lead to sex it is always obviously signposted, so you shouldn't miss out on sex scenes unless you choose to avoid them. A mostly spoiler-free pointer for the specific point where I reloaded the game to explore the other options because the story seemed to take a kinda upsetting turn: - When meeting Sal and Mrs. Greene in the main plot, there are 3 different scenes that can play out depending on whether you choose to help them with a rescue or help them get out of town. The bad thing that happens, happens in all of them, so you cannot avoid that, and they all end in the same place for your character. But the obvious "brave" choice (the rescue) that kicks off this choice tree is ostensibly the "correct" one. I loved all the hidden scenes! It pays off to regularly check back in areas you think you've seen everything, because progress in the character stories unlocks extra scenes in the nightclub, with the pillory mistress, in the Candlewax Club, with the Tunnel Girls, etc. The coffee shop mini game was funny (besides the concept of coffee with ♥♥♥ as a thing, it looked like failing to perfectly make the drinks barista Bru disliked actually raised your score over a 100%?) I wished there had been more stuff featuring the Rust Pups and the Rust Pup compound once it finally unlocked, as well as Forcier's garden... but it's already incredible that there was as much content as there was given that this was such a small team. Other people have remarked that a lot of character stories end rather abruptly, and that's certainly true. I was a bit sad that all of a sudden there was no more Forcier content (I loved them so much T_T). But again, abruptness aside, if you play through all the stories before playing the ending, it doesn't feel all that jarring, because the ending does tie things up. In short, a must-play for everyone who likes anarchism, lesbian sex and robots.

Very fun/interesting characters overall, and the game manages to touch on a lot of existential questions about gender, friendship and even what it means to be human. I can't think of any other adult games where I've gone through emotions of arousement, sadness, humor and maybe most importantly: feeling seen. This games does all that and more. My only complaint might be that I wish character customization carried into cutscenes, and that it had a little more end game content. Otherwise, this is a game with a lot of love put into the characters and world - and you can tell.

I really appreciate this game bringing forward positive trans and lesbian rep that isn't using identities as fetish content. I am so tired of going to the lgbtq+ adult tag and only seeing "femboy" and "futa" games (or games catered to gay men), so it's really nice to see genuine representation of trans people throughout this game. While the game is generally catered towards lgbtq+ folks, there is a setting that basically disables nsfw encounters with men--which made me happy as a lesbian. I feel like it's so hard to find games that cater to a lesbian (or sapphic) audience. In addition, there's a *lot* of different kinks/fetishes explored within the game. While not all of it are things I am into, I did appreciate the variety--there were some fantasies I'd never quite understood, but after seeing their scenes I felt like I'd learned something new. I respect that. For $16.99 I'd hope to get a game that offers a wide variety of nsfw scenes, and this game certainly delivered. If there's something you're not quite interested in seeing, you can simply say no and skip over it. And if you want to rewatch a moment, you can use the computer in HC's room to go back. While the game is for nsfw content at its core, the story line is pretty good. I'm not going to pretend I came here for a story-intense game. I am a perv at heart, and I assume anyone else reading this is mainly interested in the adult content as well. But I've invested several hours for a reason beyond wanting to get off. Each character has their own storylines that feel rewarding to play through. Explicit scenes aren't just presented as a "reward," and not every interaction will result in that content. You get to learn about the characters, their lives, their problems, through their dialogue. But anyways! Intimacy is overall presented in a very healthy manner, not just as a means to an end, or something you're obligated to. Sex is overall presented as something that can deepen bonds between people, be they friends or not (though there are a couple dubious moments, which are still consensual/you're playing into, if you decide to of course). Overall, Hardcoded has become a standard for me on what I want out of an adult game. At no point did I feel like the content was corny, and as an lgbtq+ person I felt seen in a positive light. Play this if you want a game that celebrates trans identities, kink, and general sexuality in an earnest way. I look forward to seeing if Ghost Hug makes anything else in the future, whether it be another adult game or something for a more general audience.

Genuinely brilliant

One of the most fun and affirming games for trans humans, especially those of the trans-femme leaning variety, and there's representation across a lot of different levels from gender, race, disability, personality, etc. It does a great job of offering you the option to just not engage with a particular person after hearing the context of a situation, as well, so I really really appreciate that from a consent perspective. It has kinks of many kinds for many tastes sprinkled in, so it's bound to have something you like and some things you don't; but again, HARDCODED always gives the option to opt out of any situation before it goes too far. Overall 10/10 game for erotic art, tons of content, various storylines, many types of preferences & flavors of person/queer identity/sexual identity/etc. and most importantly, consent! My only request at all would be even mooooore content hahaha. But that's just me being greedy! ^_^

I was an early Patreon supporter of this game, and it's truly such a fun and intriguing story for a porn game. A fun and diverse cast of characters, and working at the coffee shop is a real treat

i havent beaten the main story yet, but i wanted to give a review anyways. this is a good game with lots of charm humor and sexy trans robots. whats not to love? well for one thing the game could just use more in certian scenes. there is alot of times where they are talking about something sexy, but its left to the players imagination. if you like imagining it then thats ok, and there are still plenty of sexy as ♥♥♥♥ sprites in this game, but it could use a little more art in my opinon. i understand this is an indie game, so the amount of art the game is actually relatively large. its sexy, you get to build realationships, have freaky nasty freak sex, solve msyteries, run from the fuzz and work a minimum wage job! not to mention that the controlls feel alot nicer than some competiors. if you are looking for freaky robit sex, this is the place to get it!
