About
Demonsomnia is a CO-OP multiplayer bodycam horror game focused on the impact of nuclear reactions. Your goal is to activate the nuclear reactor device and escape without getting caught by mutants.
Demonsomnia offers 3 different game modes.
This mode is weapon-free and filled with intense suspense. Collect the necessary items inside the building without making any noise, and find a way to escape. The executioner inside can hear both in-game sounds and your real-life microphone sounds.
Grab a weapon, head to the forest, and collect the items needed to hunt the demon from the misty woods. The forest is filled with villagers and strange mutated creatures. Once you’ve hunted the demon, inject its fluid and add it to the nuclear device.
Your goal is to hunt the demon in the mansion at the center of this dark village. However, you have a problem: you have no weapons.

This CO-OP game, developed with Unreal Engine 5, offers the highest performance and graphics quality for multiplayer games!
Body Camera: You have a body camera. Use the radio to report to your friends when you encounter various entities—assuming they’re still alive.
Equipment: Locate areas with high radiation; these areas contain useful items like radiation salt. You’ll use these items to hunt the demon. Many tools and devices are also available for your mission.
Buy guns: Weapons such as pistols and machine guns will help you feel safe when you’re alone. Remember, sometimes they’re your only friends...

CO-OP: Play whenever you want with friends or other players.
Teamwork: Work in harmony with your friends, cooperate with your team, and maybe even guide them. Everyone needs a leader from time to time; maybe you’re the leader they need.
The government has assigned 4 brave individuals to investigate the effects of nuclear reactions; you are one of those 4. Were these various entities created by radiation, mutated species, hallucinations, or unknown beings?

i can only play this with friends though that might just be me as i feel the same way with other similar titles. i think this game is getting a bad rep. its unpolished, nobody has denied that, but its still in early access give them some time. its obvious if you join their discord they are trying they want this to succeed. they are really open to criticism and start working on it as soon as they can. i am to used to companies wanting to push out the same senseless dribble for a quick buck and then move on. woziva wants this to succeed and i want them to succeed give them a chance.
DO NOT BUY THIS GAME as of 9/20/2024 Pudgy realizes this is early access. The developer is nice, and they are working on the game and patching it. This game needs at least 1 more year of development before it will be ready to play. If you buy it, know that the mechanics do not work. If you are somehow able to summon the demon, you can't fight it. The skull beam weapon hasn't been put in the game yet. The cross only scares the demon, it doesn't hurt it. The items are scattered all over the map, and they keep taking away inventory slots to store the items. Puppy dogs were removed, because they were beyond broken. Wait 1 year, and check out the game again, if you are interested. DO NOT BUY IT NOW.
It had a troubled release, facing backlash due to high expectations. I believe this is the developer’s first game, if I’m not mistaken. It’s improving with updates. Those who are unsure might want to give it a try; after all, you have the right to refund if you don’t like it.
i like the button that cuts your fps in half
people just hate every game these days its a fun and scary game
From the trailers I was expecting... more What we actually end up getting is a beta version of Phasmophobia in a different coat of paint Monster AI is so clunky it takes the horror out of it immediately Tutorial menu isn't amazing, but I'll accept that I don't learn quickly sometimes. Sadly you're better of simply just playing Phasmophobia.
So far, great game! You need to understand it's an Early Access game and there will be bugs. I'd highly recommend getting it!
C4est tous si;ple;ent q chier,
Edit: i stated in the review that there was no way to get more ammo i was wrong i found out you can find ammo boxes out in the area your in its just random and inside main buildings there are blue doors yo can blast open to get to more ammo. Fast version its a 7/10 Its playable not too much content but more clearly on the way some stuff is confusing but not game breaking enemies hitboxes are small but aim for the chest and dont get trigger happy and it shouldnt be too much of an issue lots of different monsters and some alright scares imagine phasmophobia and bodycam together and thats basically this. I personally have mixed feelings on the game it plays good and i do like the concept but some gameplay makes no sense to me like how on at least the mansion mission when you go inside the irradiated area you cant use your gun anymore which on the surface is fin because you should be focusing on finding the demon and completing you task but the issue is and im not sure if this is intentional or no but monsters from the out side have gotten into that area forcing me to leave so i can kill it also you dont have any kind of loadout you only start with your selected gun you have to find all of your tools in the area which isnt great when you play solo which is all ive been able to do so far another issue ive seen that i did see other reviewers mention is that the hit boxes do seem really small for alot of the enemies but i have noticed that if you aim more for their chest you will more often than not hit them but i will warn everyone the enemies even the human ones are really bullet spongie. the atmosphere is good the monster variety you see is varied tey all seem to be random too like one playthrough of the mansion i only seen the monsters but on another playthrough there were people inside where the monsters were before and soem monsters had either moved or switched places or were even replaced by other monsters entirely. the scares in this game are alright its kind of like phasmophobia like stuff will move i had a door close behind me and at one point i went ito a room and there was a ghost in there waiting for me honestly i didnt know what to do so i stood there staring it down and shortly after that i got hunted by im guessing the demon i was looking for but where the scary stuff falls flat is the fact that some stuff drags on too long like i went to go down a hallway and this ghost appeared and just stood there making noise flickering in and out for about a minute it didnt do anything i noticed so again i just stood and watched it to see what would happen and this is personally a me thing but ive noticed the paintings and pictures on some of the walls are like spooky skulls or scary faces in a game thats already supposed to be scary i find it tacky like something youd expect to see in a haunted house attraction but the audio and the other stuff you see in the environments are pretty good. so far i only have the starting pistol the game gives you so i cant speak for the rifles the game has but so far anyway the gunplay is good it seems to focus more on being efficient than being flashy i did mention earlier that the enemies are bullet spongie but on the brightside the game gives you plenty of ammo just enough to get the job done so long as you control your shots and dont get trigger happy you also cant go around killing everything cause as i said limited ammo im not sure as of now if there is a way to get more. as of right now however in terns of content for the game theres not a whole lot but seeing how it only released a little while ago its to be expected right now there are only playable missions with some more on the way 2 playable game modes with 1 on the way the 2 modes are armed and demon and unarmed is the one coming soon ive only played armed but if i understand demon mode you play as the demon there is a decent selection of guns a few pistols and rifles i cant think of any that stand out besides the STG44 that you can get there are also some different outfits you can get and there are also different types of dogs you can get too im not sure if the different dogs do anything but to be honest im not 100% sure what the dogs purpose is anyway besides making me feel bad if it gets killed. Also as far as im aware the game does have offline single player along online the single player is challenging but is more than playable but i cannot speak for the multiplayer. Overall i think the game is alright definitely needs some work but as of now is playable and for anyone who wants to know the game is playable on steamdeck but will need some controls configured
