https://youtu.be/iTSd-BKc26I So you've read the description and now you're down here in the comments trying to figure out what's it all about. Click the video above to see some of the gameplay, mechanic and hear my thoughts on the game. Happy Bones Infernal is the second offering by Frosted Fears Game Studios after its highly successful hit Happy Bones from a year prior. Though the two games share the same name, it is not a sequel or follow up to the previous title. Let’s take a deeper look at what this new offering has and what sets it apart from other games in the genre currently and the previous hit title. The developer starts off with updating the graphics from the previous year. The characters and environments have been upgraded to 3D smooth model that gives the title a little more depth and feel than before. The developer, in a brilliant move, decided to keep the cut scenes and monsters hand drawn which was one of the biggest pluses from the previous game. While the characters themselves are nothing special, the real money is in the monsters. These beautiful, crazy and haunting enemies come out of your deepest nightmares or worse fever-dreams to have you questioning what reality is. Like before, this game is also a RPG/JRPG horror survival game but with a new system of also being a dating sim of sorts. You have the ability to woo and build relationships with other characters by using your charm or straight lying to them to gain buffs, items and other boons. Does it need to have a dating sim? Well no, but it’s a welcome addition to the series and adds extra depth to party makeup and choices. They say lightning never strikes twice, but for this developer it certainly has with this title. This offering is on the same level as the original and it has been an absolute treat to play through it. I highly recommend you pick up Happy Bones Infernal for yourself (and the original Happy Bones for only $4) and get lost in this eerie, fun and mesmerizing series. I cannot wait to see what Frosted Fears Game Studios has to offer up in the future.
Happy Bones Infernal é a sequência direta do primeiro jogo e apresenta grandes diferenciais logo de cara, melhorando o jogo bastante.

Innovation at every point over the first game, but same energy and still fun[eng and pt-br review]
Happy Bones Infernal is the direct sequel to the first game and presents great differences right away, improving the game a lot. Starting with the new 3d engine, again the character models may seem simple but they have great charisma. Now the fights are in 3rd person and all weapons have sprites, making the fight much more pleasing to the eyes. But a negative point, controlling the camera is not that interesting in a game that doesn't have a mini map or compass and where many of the rooms are similar in the assets, several times I walked in circles after a fight or going through a door because I didn't know which direction I had come from. The game now features a much larger cast of characters, party of 4 interchangeable characters, each one very different from the other, which allows for a much greater customization and level of strategy for the fights. And all these characters were very well presented and worked, it scared me as each one of them has a very interesting story, always focused on a personal drama. The game's story is also expanded a lot and this time it comes into a great end, in general, despite being a little generic, it was a very cool and well-crafted story. The game also features a lot of equippable items and several slots to equip different items, again, the combat has improved a lot. So much so that I found this game easier than the first, only at the end there is a huge spike in difficulty in the last 2 bosses, the fight against them depends first on understanding how they act and the game just doesn't explain how the fight works, a simple cutscene or a text box with a hint would help a lot, but at least I could understand, especially what happens in the last fight, which can be quite frustrating. As it was said the characters were very well done, the characters from the first game appear in this one in a very natural way and are expanded much better than the first one did. There is also a social link mechanic at the end of the chapters for you to choose your partner, but I didn't like something, some chapters don't have the social link moment, if you want to see the end of character X you need to only choose this character over the game, which makes you never see the personal dramas of the other characters, which, as I said, were well put together. I know this was done to increase the replay factor, but again, few people play an RPG multiple times, but I understand that many games even AAA JRGPs do the exact same thing. This time the game innovates with more secrets like the secret passages released by coins, 3d mazes in 1st person (which I really appreciate not having random encounters during these parts), several easter eggs from the first game, the OST remains simple and good but a part of it is taken from the first game. TLDR: The new engine and the new features really made the game more enjoyable, if the first game was cool, this one was better. The game fails to explain some mechanics however. The higher price still makes up for it as the game has improved and increased in size. Overall, it's a good classic RPG Maker JRPG, it's still quite niche, but suitable for fans of the genre.
Haven’t played the whole thing, but this may very well be better than the first entry. Waifus, Demons, and music is so good this time around!
games pretty fair new type of atmosphere and team to keep things fresh which i very much so appreciate changing player character per game is a call i extremely agree with (they announce details on the next happy bones game) level pacing was good and fair never felt under or locked in place im not much for dating sim stuff but you do get benefits that are helpful so go ahead and do that real low price for how long the game can take to beat didnt like the final boss but there a video guide in the discussions community that can help with that
