The game will do everything to make you empathize with the characters while making them as stupid and obnoxious as possible. Apparently the only response girls here have to death/horror is crying while screaming as loud as possible (this is 30% of the game). Also I don't know why most of chapter 3 is a 14yo girl pretending to be 7 who absolutely has to take a piss but she can't because unfortunately all the bathrooms have collapsed and she's unable to do that in a corner instead. By the way, I guess privacy is more important than making sure you don't get separated / murdered alone by one of the many ghosts in the school, unsurprisingly she
almost gets killed because of it while her brother was waiting for her inside the building
. This is completely unnecessary, it has no purpose to the story and you will have to endure this weird and stupid section of the game. The gameplay is also pretty bad imo, a lot of backtracking which was usually something I don't care about but I really feel it on this game with its excruciatingly slow movement and sometimes huge maps on the last chapters. You are sometimes forced to backtrack, go in circles to trigger the events which is in my opinion, not fun at all! Lots of times the game has trouble leading you to the next objective, well sometimes it just doesn't lead you at all which makes it even worse when you combine it with the slow movement and backtracking. It just encourages you to look up solutions instead of searching for yourself because it's just trying to waste your time instead of thinking at this point, now that I finished the game I kinda regret not doing that. That being said, I would honestly be fine with not being guided by this game if it didn't have the aforementioned and subsequent issues. Speaking of triggering events and conditions, there are many times when you'd have the solution instantly for a problem, but it won't work until the dumb character also finds out. A perfect example of this
is when Naomi is stuck in the infirmary room with a ghost chasing her, she can't get out because clumps of hair are obstructing the door. You have plenty of time to interact with all the storage boxes, desks, cupboards beforehand and see that one of those has alcohol so naturally you try to take it first to enhance the flames of your lighter. Unfortunately, you can't get your hands on it yet because you have to play the dumb character and try 2 or 3 times to burn 40kg of hair with a simple lighter before she realizes it's not enough :)
This kind of things happen constantly and will make you waste a lot of time for no reason. The OST is mid, I just don't think it fits and it kinda ruins the immersion for me which is a big deal in this kind of game, I even feel like they would fit better in 100% Orange Juice if I'm being honest. They are also quite repetitive at the end. However, the worldbuilding and some the story are ok. The writing is atrocious sometimes though, which doesn't help making the characters likeable. I really don't like how many unnecessary / weird moments there are between the characters like the flashback with Mochida and his sister, or Seiko and her brother. Some plot twists at the end are quite cool,
getting to know how the place was created, the backstory of the true antagonist and whatnot was nice
but it's like 5% of the game... There are probably a lot of things I want to say that I don't remember, but overall this was not an enjoyable experience despite loving the genre and RPG maker games in general, I still managed to at least finish the 5 chapters since it was recommended by a friend and I wanted to know how it ends. But even then, the ending itself was disappointing.
非常经典的恐怖rpg,但没有中文所以不推荐
i would spend a year in that school just for another yuka peeing scene
Если бы у автора сюжета было бы все в порядке с головой, то этой прекрасной игры (как и всей серии) не существовало бы. Я рад, что в этом мире есть наглухо отбитые японцы, которые пишут подобные истории.
Sachiko, I Beg You
a wonderfully narrated nonlinear opus still worth experiencing even in this day and age; though at times suspicious of extra chapters as a bunch of retcons sewing up the glaring plotholes here and there, i've actually come to really appreciate how they complement the narrative all in all. i guess even if they are retcons i don't really mind it... definitely will be grabbing the book of shadows next one of these days 8/10 i would say
без гайдов абсолютно неиграбельно
This is the game that made me love CP (corpse party). I have seen some stuff about CP (corpse party) being "bad" but I think it is amazing. I will look at more CP (corpse party) when I decide to buy the next one. (CP means corpse party btw)
