Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 10 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Scratches every roguelike itch
I really enjoy this style of game and story-telling. But I landed a 1 in 4 chance of failure 9 times in a row, the first one being the actual tutorial choice. I'm supremely unlucky and it soured my desire to play. For those that are not, I recommend.
I think this game is good. It is a good game. I love meatballs

I'm a big fan of the Hand of Fate games . Mix batman style combat mechanics, with card collecting and rogue-like replayability. My only negative are the unskippable cut scenes. 8/10 - would listen to the same dialogue for another attempt at a token again.
Во всём лучше первой части. Рекомендую тем, кому зашла первая часть. Остальным - может быть не совсем понятно что происходит, так как обучения как такового мало.
Okay. Before I get ahead of myself, I'm going to once again appeal to Valve for a "neutral" or "thumbs horizontal" review rating, because this game is exactly the definition of that. The concept is amazing to me, and I feel that it's novel. I'm personally not familiar with any other titles that utilize the format that the Hand of Fate series does, and I remember thoroughly enjoying the first one. Hand of Fate 2 expounds on the premises of the first with more depth, which means more chances to succeed and fail. That's what the game is all about, after all: it is the game of life and death, as The Dealer is so fond of reminding us. Some negative reviewers complain about the combat, but it's really simple and intuitive if you've played ANY of the WB games about ten years ago (Mad Max, Shadow of Mordor, etc.): dodge, block, riposte, attack, and so on based on the indicator over your opponent's head. This shouldn't be new material to anyone, and the only people whining about the difficulty of executing ripostes are button-mashing that attack button like a toddler. Looking back through forum posts as I sought help to overcome seemingly impossible challenges (which will be the crux of what prevents me from giving this title a glowing "Recommend"), I did see that Defiant Development took a very active role in interfacing with the players when the game was fresh. Very receptive to feedback about bugfixes, balance changes, etc. I respect that *terribly* and it's something I'd love to see more of today, in 2025. All that said... the balance is still questionable. I understand there's an element of luck or preparation to these challenges, but some of the Gold token requirements are just absurd (Justice isn't explained at all and leaves no room for error), not to mention Shards requirements(The "Arm Wrestling" card's shard, I've decided, needs to be reserved for ENDGAME, even though it's one of the first sharded cards I unlocked. It's useful to grind it for gold disbursements, but some of us are obsessive and need shards and tokens cleared off of our ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cards or we cannot sleep at night without drugs. This game is going to break me). I understand the novelty of replayability, but some of these challenges are simply not intuitive enough to understand how to complete without an inordinate amount of research and time commitment (and faith in RNGesus, but stakes and chance SHOULD BE part of a game like this. That's not a complaint from me). That's absolutely terrible mechanics design, and it's sadly the only thing holding the game back, in my eyes. But despite my complaints, I'm going to keep playing. I'm not even a card game guy. Edit: I'm going to change this review to "Not Recommended" based solely on my recent experiences today. Hoarfrost Trials, amongst other cards, can get ♥♥♥♥♥♥, and this is right up Defiant Development's alley. Based on what I've read of their interactions with the community, they LOVE obscenely obscure or hard challenges. I appreciate it, but at the same time I DON'T, and I'm glad they're not making games anymore. And I'm glad the market showed them what they think of their idea of balance (HoF 1 and 2 obviously sold poorly) because these Defiant ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ could give Bungie a run for their money. At this point I'm sad this format of game never got traction and done well by somebody that has an eye for proper difficulty balance. I no longer recommend; this game will only piss you off hard. And this is somebody that already completed Empress+ and Strength+ with ease. It's trash. I'm going to keep playing but I really need someone to jack this format and make a game that's better balanced.
