[h1] Gameplay [/h1] A sunny, cozy afternoon without a walk, the everyday life of many people, but not at Hanapoon Princess. You have planned a trip to an antique shop to get a bargain or two or just to see what it offers. You immediately notice a simple statue where you are under the spell, which quickly turns out to be a magical being from the country Hanapoon. You will quickly find yourself in ancient Japan, looking like a dojo. In this, however, there are no ninjas but to your surprise 4 adorable women (princess) who are all single and are looking for a man for life. Each presents itself differently or focuses differently in order to please and stand out. Now you come into play and we are spoiled for choice. The story is presented and driven forward by humorous answers in dialog form and different branching paths. Hanapoon supports you in this. Each date is different and takes place in different, sometimes romantic locations, where each has its own charm. If the dialog is too slow, there is also an option where it speeds up. There is also a save option if you want to take a break to continue later. Each end unlocks different images. So it is advisable to have a look at them all if you want to have them all, but to experience them fully for history alone. Nicely done artwork and a simple, short story round it out. I think my playthrough was around an hour or so, but there are various choices which can unlock different CG and change the resulting ending. It’ll be broken down as you go along, and most is fairly straight-forward and overall linear in presentation and feel. You won’t really lose or gain much by making a different choice as far as I can tell, aside from the ones directly dealing with whoever you are choosing to have scenes or an ending with. The overall theme is pretty enjoyable for me. It felt light-hearted and sort of warm. I felt almost like something was going to happen I didn’t expect, but I won’t really get too into the detail of the story. You have four choices, and so at least four endings are possible. Music was good, and the backgrounds were kind of similar, and not a huge variety of locations. Language could be slightly brushed up on, and I sent a few touch-up suggestions for the story run I made. I feel that editing is critical in the review process, so I make sure and ask if any developers would like my findings and insight, since I feel it is a personal obligation as the responsible reader. I feel it’s a [i]tiny[/i] bit overpriced, but it’s not too bad. If you’ll be playing through to completion on all the arcs, probably a solid buy. Nothing lewd either, so if you’re looking for that, nothing I could tell from gameplay or any patches. I think it is intended for a fairly wide and general audience. Pretty decent visual novel though, for the amount of time I spent on the one arc. A little simplistic, but I still enjoyed it. [h1]Pros[/h1] The graphics and setting is nice. I think the overall theme is done well, even if it feels a bit overdone in general. Good take on this with the art style! The story is simple, but it feels like it remains steady in its pacing, though a little rushed near the conclusion. I like the way it is done, and the choice parts are added in to make for some nice, yet small variation. Only a few choices, but overall pretty tastefully done. If you don’t want a ten or twenty hour visual novel, this one might be something you’d be interested in, if you are a fan of the style or genre in general. While I wish there was a little more to it, I still found it suitable for a decent visual novel on the single playthrough I read over. [h1]Cons[/h1] There were a few issues with language on my story arc, but nothing that can’t be fixed. I hope others will bring up some stuff to help with some edits where they are necessary, or make suggestions as I have. I felt the choices could have been more story-changing and maybe a little more substantial as far as the results of picking one over another. Felt a bit more like filler to me, so while I love choices, I didn’t feel there was really much to offer there, with so few chances to choose, and then everything abruptly ending a bit quickly. Steam-ifying this one with cards and achievements might be worthwhile to motivate a little more playtime. I will let this be as it is, and say I enjoyed the read on one playthrough. I’m just not digging it enough to go through each ending, so maybe a bit more to it would help with some motivation… Length, while I mentioned it as a pro, can also be a con. I think it needed a little more substance, with maybe a little more weight to the choices, and more of an unfolding of events towards the end. The pacing was good for the most part, aside from what I felt was slightly too rushed towards the end of the story. I like trashy stuff, so I do wish they had some sort of 18+ content you could somehow obtain, but not a huge deal for me. Had little impact on my thoughts of the overall rating as far as the visual novel and story go. [h1]Conclusion[/h1] I suggest this to the avid reader that isn’t into anything too graphic, yet likes romance. It’s not really long, but it won’t have you pulling your hair out wondering which mysterious little choice you have to pick to get a particular ending, either. If the above fits you, you’ll probably enjoy this one. It’s nice and light, and if the english has a few more edits here and there, it rounds out to being a nice overall read. If you are on the fence, either wait for a decent sale, or try it for a little while, and then maybe refund if you really don’t like it after a little bit of reading. Get ready to let your dream come true! Me: Ooooooh yes! Developer: But at first i have good news and a bad news. Me: Of course….. Developer: The Good News. You don`t need to fight! Me: Okaaaaaaaaay….. Developer: The Bad News. You have the Choice between 4 Princess, but you can only marry one. Me: Four! Are you kidding me? Developer: Nope. 4 Princess! And dear Wyvern, your Tongue is hinging out of your mouth! Me: Oh. Sorry. Developer: Then have fun. Me: I will, my friend, i will. *biiig grin* To the Story. Beeing a normal Guy, dreaming of the perfect Girl at school, you are buying an impressive Statue for her, that turns into a Demon. That little Demon offers you to come to Hanapon and marry a princess and rule Hanapon. Offhandedly. You wish so! That is not that easy. As said before, you must Choose between 4 Princess. Will you take the Challenge? Are you man …. ehm Gamer enough?! Then lets do it! Hanapon Princess is a nice drawn Visual Novel. It is nice written and i really enjoyed it, because of some Funny Elements. From Time to time, you have to make decissions to continue. I also liked the Characters. 4 Princess that can`t be more different as them. That also means 4 Endings and to be honest i enjoyed every ending. Not to forget the little Demon, that accompanies you through the Game. Not to forget to mention the Soundtrack. Simple, fits very well and doesn`t get annoying. If you like short, simple and funny Visual Novels, you should give Hanapon Princess a try. Thanks to the Developer for the Key and letting my Child Dreams come true. Thank you for reading.

Normally I wouldnt even have written a review here, however after seeing all the other reviews I thought it to be necessary. Hanapon Princess is another one of the poor quality VNs with a generic story, if you can even call it that, and a very short length overall. You might also think hey it has 4 girls and different endings with them, but well what can I say they are pretty much the same no matter which girl you choose. Really I dont know how anyone would recommend the game. I would say its alright if it were for free but there are so many better games out there for 4 Euro that you really should look somewhere else. CG작가의 실력이 전혀 늘지 않았다. 오히려 퇴보한 수준. 스탠딩샷에서는 그나마 입체가 보여지는데 이벤트씬만 가면 이게 장난치는건지 아닌지 입체감이 안느껴짐. 이건 H씬도 마찬가지라 가슴을 입체감이 전혀 없는 그냥 원형(`구`가 아님)으로 그려놓은것도 많음. 전부다 그런건 아니지만 스탠딩씬을 그린 사람과 이벤트씬을 그린사람이 다른지 아니면 스탠딩씬을 그리다가 힘이 다 빠져서 나머지는 대충 그린건지 모르겠음. 결론만 말해서 CG는 못봐주겠다. 그리고 성우 없다. 정가 5500원에 이정도면 가성비가 너무 떨어진다. 스토리는 스킵 눌러놓으면 5분이면 다 볼 수 있음. [h1]사지마. 2200원주고 샀는데 돈이 너무 아까움.[/h1]

I'm going to keep it short and to the point like the game itself, Hanapon Princess feels like it was made in a day with art that looks quicker then that. Going through one ending can take as little as 5 and as long as 10 min, while the game is short it is not sweet with awful story, awful audio, and awful non-H and H scenes. Not worth your time or hard drive space.
