This is overall a decent game. And I did enjoy it. But, I am hesitant to give it a thumbs up. I guess if I were to give it a score, it would be around a 6 / 10. In this game, you are a hamster running a small, local Japanese place for other hamsters to eat food. Normal human food. At first, you have no ingredients and very few recipes. You're given land to grow ingredients - an entire rice field, and a few strips of land for vegetables and fruit trees. Later on, you are given some farm animals too, providing milk and eggs. Most of these give you a daily harvest, some later veggies take 2 days, and the fruit and rice take 3 days. You can also go adventuring to gather more ingredients more immediately, including many that you can't grow on the farm, such as meat or seafood from playing a cute mini game to beat wild animals you encounter. And late on, you can gather things like ice for making iced desserts. All birds you kill (e.g. pigeons) count as chicken meat, all non-pig meats (e.g. moose) count as beef. I don't trust this restaurant. They also make coffee out of tea leaves and beans; the same beans we put in taiyaki! This game taught me never to trust a restaurant run by hamsters. Regarding the menu... you unlock new items by gathering new ingredients and improving the rank of your business. You can upgrade each item's rank by putting in more ingredients. This, the whole business rank / levelling up system and the minigame for actually serving customers, run exactly the same as in Dave The Diver. You can even get new employees and upgrade them and your chef, same as in that game. Generally, I don't like to directly compare games, but in this case, because it does seem like an exact copy of the game mechanics, I would say - rather than get this game, save up and get Dave The Diver. You get a lot more game for your money. Unless you really don't like diving, or you just especially like supporting Japanese indie developers (which I admit is a good cause!) Last thing I would like to mention is that the English translation on this game is pretty terrible. It's full of spelling errors, some menus aren't even translated (e.g. the page in the shop where you can buy more land for your garden). But there's no real story to the game, and it's really simple to work out, so it kinda doesn't matter. So overall... it's an ok game, which I enjoyed. It is quite featureful. It took 5.3 hours to unlock 100% achievements. But after I reached rank 5 and unlocked all the recipes, I feel like I have nothing left to do. And without a real storyline to the game, it all feels a bit shallow.
