Halloween Forever

possibly the greatest game of our time

First I want to say that the game is pretty adorable and very fitting to the Halloween season. It is a fun little platformer, but has the default old school difficulty. Since I just wanted to see the whole game I turned on 99 lives and forgiving saves to ease the struggle. It was fun, but since I'm not one for old school platformer difficulty I wouldn't play it again. I think if you go into it knowing it will be difficult on normal difficulty and relatively short you will enjoy a cute Halloween romp!

The controls are solid, the music excellent at evoking NES, Master System, and others of the era, and every October I play the hell out of it. It can be beaten fairly quickly, so each time I unlock another character I blast through it again, sometimes back to back multiple times. Perfect on the Steam Deck too. I need more games like this in my life.

Not a fan of this game. Zero updates in several years. The controls are hard to use. If they would update the game and controls it would be a really fun game. Do NOT waste your money.

Very Ghouls and Goblins-like NES experience.
