Your control over weapons is genuine, as we have crafted a combat system based on the expertise and feedback of Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) practitioners and sword fencers. Through this dynamic system, players can immerse themselves in the intricacies of swordplay and learn the art of the game's combat mechanics.

Every story needs an end, and in Half Sword, it often means losing your head - quite literally. As this is a simulation game, death is final…
Be Warned: Half Sword is an extremely violent and gory game. I mean… we do have a Chief Blood Officer. Witness skull-crushing blows, limb decapitations, and gruesome displays of entrails and bloodshed, all intricately tied to the weapon and armor choices of both you and your opponents.

game makes me want to hang myself but very nice yes
half sword is amaazing
So, I really love this game and all and I am leaving this as a positive review for now, but wtf happened? I played this a bunch at release and while it had its flaws, it was still overall fun. Now I picked it back up after some updates and everything seems broken. My guys arm randomly breaks when I swing any weapon and sometimes I just fall over and die when I hit the floor. It is pretty much unplayable at the moment. I am trusting they will fix this but that was so disappointing to come back to after some "improvements".
To be entirely honest as i have over 20 hours in the demo, as well as this, it is a dissapointment. poorly optimized, looks eh even on high settings. i run it on low and it barely works. for context i can run games like helldivers at max settings and avg 60fps. with this 60fps is a maybe at best. it needs to be optimized, it needs to be properly done, and if you want to play this game go play the demo until they fix it.
It was good then it was bad and now its good again very nice
Its great but the mechanic to get up is so bad because it forces you to crawl and half of the time I end up dying.
Demo Is so much better Then this Sh**
Fun game, didn't crash as much as what i've seen online that being said though I'm not completely without crashes. really fun to use (most of) the weapons at (most of) the classes but for the price? you'll have a good 5-20 hours of solid fun in the games current state of the game (0.6.1.5) I highly reccomend!
Crash Sword.
