This is pretty much half life but instead of playing as Gordan you play as a badass H.E.C.U Corporal named Adrian Shepard. This game adds many more weapons like a combat knife, a LMG, a Deagle with a laser sight, a damn barnacle that you can hold and use it as a grappling hook, and a portal gun that can send enemies to Xen and teleport you there where there will be ammo and stuff like that. Your main enemies will be the og Xen aliens as well as new aliens call Race X that are tough to fight against and pose a new threat. You also have to fight the black ops guys from the first game because they don't like the marines for some reason. You can enlist the help of your Marine buddies to help you, there is a medic that can heal you, an engineer who can open up some locked doors, and grunts that will shoot at enemies for you. Instead of the tutorial being a hazard course it is instead a boot camp which is pretty cool. Overall, playing opposing force was a very enjoyable experience and I recommend you play this game, though I do recommend you play the og Half life first, since things will make a whole lot more sense.

лучшее как по мне дополнение к халве,самое крутое что играть надо за антагониста такое не где больше не встречается из игр по халве.единственное жалко что дальше так и не раскрыли потенциал Шепарда,действительно интересный персонаж так же хотелось увидеть ремейк кароч да игра годнота думаю еще не раз перепрайду

One of the cool gearbox extensions for Half Life series. Being one of the classics it is a really nice addition alongside blue shift and decay! Without a question if you enjoyed Half Life then this game is something I can recommend

It's pretty bad actually. Many poor enemy placements. Abuse save systems to get past that. However there sure is a lot of soft locks, which is pretty unacceptable. it was entertaining to make fun of. However this program appears to be malware as during the final boss it kept forcing mouse acceleration on. I guess that really nails the horror aspect of the game, but its pretty malicious.

I think this game copied Hunt Down The Freeman...

Pretty cool game, its a bit difficult and clunky at times but considering its age I'd say it holds up today.
