JOGAÇO DO CARALHO: ALYX
this is truly one of the greatest vr experiences ive ever had and we need more games like it. i like the fact that all weapons are important from start to finish, i like the upgrade system, you only have two inventory slots which forces you to make decisions, the movement seemed wierd at first but after beating the game i wish more games used it. but the best thing about this game is that it feels like a vr game and not a flatscreen game shoved into vr to inflate a market bubble. why is this review negative? 60 nealy 70gb (also doesnt help that the game too expensive at full price and only worth it when on sale)
用了一天打到第八章,还没玩完,一天十个小时高强度游玩,这是个好游戏

Yet another pinnacle of the gaming industry... The Half-Life franchise as a whole will always serve as a point of inspiration, for a lovely story that can only be told without a third title... (May change soon, go HLX.) I write these reviews on various games after having played them months prior.. Only cause they're SO peak. Thank you Valve for inspiring all of us through this form of interactive art.
This game is just amazing
I think the positives are known for 6 years already, so I will purely focus on the negatives, even though the overall experience was majestic. I also won't be excusing anything for the game being for VR newcomers. It's a valid point, but it outside of the scope of my opinions 1. The game isn't short by any means (it took me 13 hours with lots of messing around and resin searching), but it feels short. This mostly comes down to most of the game looking the same. Even worse than that, the first enemy switch happens in the same area - metro. You essentially associate combine and zombies with the metro, and antlions with the construction site/zoo/cranes. HL2 had way more variety in that department. I got why they did this, though. 2. Enemy encounters are meh. I can literally count on fingers how many serious combine encounters there are in the game. Though "serious" is a stretch, since its never over 10. This is the direct reason for the issue number 3: 3. Gun progression is cool, but it's undercut by the fact that you don't get to use them much. Don't get me wrong, I did run out of ammo for one of the guns multiple times, but not against any tense enemies. Valve made sure to equip you every well against the combine. Worse than that, you hit Jeff later on and the whole chapter doesn't involve you using guns at all. And then you hit the strider chapter, and there are barely any enemies. There is no excuse for how short that chapter is. 4. Jeff is not very scary. I played with movement speed 150 (which is not much different from teleportation) and was running laps around the poor guy. And no, I wasn't spoiled. I saw the door with the hook and things clicked in my head instantly. The only thing I was confused about was the valve, but I had plenty of time to work on it due to the amount of bottles and the ability to get on top of the box. 5 (continuation of 3). Ending is extremely rushed. If HL2 was a finished tech demo, then this felt like a late vertical slice. You first get past surface level combine encounters and then defeat strider with an admittedly cool grenade launcher. You see a UFO beam on top of its corpse, step into it, aaand... They strip away all of your guns you worked hard on and barely used. I'm almost convinced they didn't have much full playthrough tests during development. This kind of oversight only could have come because of rushed development, testers and dev families testing only specific segments, devs testing their own game or all of this combined. Not only that, but the entire vault section is kinda meh. It's a giant vault, but you end up going through couple of hallways with the Biden blast/hadouken/fireball/torison/etc hands. You can't even pull TV's and consoles from walls like in HL2. Shame on you. 6. No fast headcrabs. It would have been peak cinema if you were to get jumpsacred by one right after killing Jeff. 7. I got to the vault with 2 grub canisters in my wrists. Not only every med station has an associated canister for some reason, but you cant replace it when its empty. There is no strategy with them, basically. That's kind of it, unless I forgot some other oversights. I'm really excited to try the mods now
the only good and immersive VR game out there
Short review, five words: You must play this game. Long review, more than five words: Even if you haven't experienced Half-Life before; play the first two games, then play this. The story writing and gameplay is top notch and I found every bit of this game an absolute pleasure. It's now my favourite game of all time. One thing to note is that although this is really good, there's a lot of times I've encountered lag spikes and sometimes crashes. I run the game with a Meta Quest 3 using Meta Link + SteamVR, and unfortunately no matter what I did, I always found the game to lag a bunch. Regardless, the majority of my time playing didn't lag, and it was the best thing ever. Personal favourite of the game is the final two chapters. 10/10.
2026年,却依然是VR游戏巅峰,不知应喜或悲,总之很推荐
