About
The first-ever sequel from Supergiant Games builds on the best aspects of the original god-like rogue-like dungeon crawler in an all-new, action-packed, endlessly replayable experience rooted in the Underworld of Greek myth and its deep connections to the dawn of witchcraft.
As the immortal Princess of the Underworld, you'll explore a bigger, deeper mythic world, vanquishing the forces of the Titan of Time with the full might of Olympus behind you, in a sweeping story that continually unfolds through your every setback and accomplishment.
Infuse your legendary weapons of Night with ancient magick, so that none may stand in your way. Become stronger still with powerful Boons from more than a dozen Olympian gods, from Apollo to Zeus. There are nearly limitless ways to build your abilities.
Meet a cast of dozens of fully-voiced, larger-than-life characters, including plenty of new faces and some old friends. Grow closer to them through a variety of new interactions, and experience countless unique story events based on how your journey unfolds.
New locations, challenges, upgrade systems, and surprises await as you delve into the ever-shifting Underworld again and again. Reveal the mysteries of the Altar of Ashes, tame witchy familiars, and gather reagents using Tools of the Unseen to get closer to your goal.
Thanks to a variety of permanent upgrades and the return of God Mode, you don't have to be a god yourself to experience what Hades II has to offer. But if you happen to be one, you can brave escalating challenges for greater rewards, and prove just how divine you really are.

Rich, atmospheric presentation and storytelling fused with responsive action is the hallmark of Supergiant's titles. Vivid new hand-painted environments, even smoother real-time 3D characters, and an electrifying original score make this mythic world burst with life.

i love that it's a bit easier than the first game, for I suck! loved to do 100%. thank you for everything supergiant ♥
Perfect game for quick 20-30 minute runs
This is one of those "perfect-sequel" scenarios, if I had to summarize Hades II. It might seem crazy, but this game outright improves on just about every aspect of the first game, in my opinion (even the music, if you can believe it). That's not to say the first game is bad by any means, it's just that they clearly knew what worked better and applied more of that to this game, but I digress. The game still maintains a very familiar core gameplay loop to the first game, but it keeps things fresh by introducing a handful of new mechanics alongside some returning ones (some with different design approaches). It also, of course, still has that phenomenal Supergiant quality the first game did; there's an insane amount of dialogue with a wonderful cast of characters and to say it's all well-written would simply be an understatement. There are also a ton of fun little details and call-backs from the first game, which is always neat! If you enjoyed the first game I have very little doubt that you won't enjoy this sequel. I had an absolute blast going for 100% achievements and a handful of other side-content not tied to them. I will probably continue to go for extra stuff simply because of how engaging the gameplay and writing is.

Probably my favorite game to play with a game controller.....
Hades II - 100% Completion Review Score: 8/10 Hades II is the sequel to Hades I in which Chrono's the Titan of Time has been pieced back together, freed from his prison in Tartarus and has taken over the Greek Underworld, claimed the House of Hades, and flung open the Gates of Hell and it's up to the Princess of Hell, member of the Silver Sisters and Witch Apprentice to stop him. [PRO'S] -Good protagonist who is well written and nicely designed, though she is a bit monotone personality wise at times -Beautiful environments that are very well done -Good writing that isn't too predictable with plenty of twists and turns, ending was a bit cheesy though lol, but it's following the theme from the first game so that's ok -Good environments that are very stylish and well designed -Good gameplay that focuses more on witchcraft and incantations which all require ingredients you have to find in roguelike runs, the arcana which allows passive bonuses and also features two paths this time around, Tartarus of course and the World Above -Good combat with many weapons to choose from that are all distinct from each other and each can be upgraded over time -Good Greek style music -Good homebase The Crossroads which fits the Witch theme of the game very nicely -No Temple of Styx this time around thankfully, the final area's of this game are much easier -Perfect performance, no lag, bugs, glitches or crashes at all [Neutral's] No Score Change From These -Time for full completion about 35 to 40 hours -Not a fan of Hecate's design, i mean a witch with abs... Really? Lol -Difficulty is slightly easier than the first game simply due to their being more upgrades, ranged weapons and things to improve that helps runs [CON'S] -RNG for reagents and ingredients for incantations is too frustratingly low at the beginning of the game, especially seeds for crops which may not drop at all in entire runs -Romance just wasn't that good this time around, two of the romancable characters are incredibly toxic to the main character and the other two are just ok -Game lacks the humor that the first game had, less jokes, less witty dialogue, just feels more jaded than the first game honestly -Some story events take too long to come across, the RNG chances on these really need to be higher [SUMMARY] Overall Hades II is a solid sequel to the first game and if your fan of the first game or just like roguelikes in general you will no doubt like this game just fine. The game I continue playing even after completing all challenges and getting all achievements. 10 silver sisters out of 10)
