Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Sep 11 → 2.33/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Sorry devs, I really tried to like this. The tutorial is always there. You get so many emails walking you through almost every step, lots of hand holding and unnecessary dialogue Story's not great, but that's fine for this genre. What I missed was the problem solving. The one time I got stuck was because
I hadn't run Nuclei on every subdomain to trigger the next email
, which made it interesting because I felt like I had a challenge, but it was just a scripted event. It felt like it would introduce a new thing mission, until the game ran out of new things. I respect the work that went into this, it's clear you've worked really hard on this. UI and design are decent, a little clunky but QOL isn't too bad with resizing windows etc. I don't care if parts are AI generated. Unfortunately the problem is, it is just not fun to play.
Pra ser sincero, um jogo muito bom. Ele é curto, porém a história é te pega bastante! Para quem quer aprender como ataques funcionam na vida real, é um ótimo jogo para se aprender.

Hackers Journey is an educational hacking simulator that sets out to deliver a more authentic look at cybersecurity than the exaggerated depictions commonly found in games and films. Developed and published by Electric Heart, it emphasizes realistic hacking techniques, practical problem-solving, and ethical cybersecurity concepts rather than over-the-top action. The game places players in the role of an aspiring hacker who gradually builds technical skills by investigating vulnerabilities, infiltrating systems, and completing increasingly sophisticated digital operations. Its commitment to realism gives it a distinctive identity, making it appealing not only to simulation fans but also to players interested in learning the fundamentals of cybersecurity through interactive gameplay. The campaign is designed around a series of connected missions that steadily expand both the story and the player's understanding of hacking concepts. Early objectives introduce the basics of system exploration and reconnaissance before progressing into more advanced topics such as web application vulnerabilities, SQL injection, insecure direct object references, privilege escalation, ransomware, payment card skimming, supply chain attacks, and cryptocurrency-related investigations. Every new assignment introduces additional layers of complexity without feeling overwhelming, allowing players to develop confidence while naturally absorbing concepts inspired by real security practices. Rather than relying on fictional shortcuts, the game encourages logical thinking and methodical investigation, making each successful exploit feel earned. One of the game's greatest strengths is the way it recreates the workflow of a cybersecurity professional. Players spend much of their time working through command-line interfaces, examining system files, navigating simulated operating systems, and gathering intelligence before attempting to exploit weaknesses. This approach creates a satisfying sense of immersion because success depends on understanding information and making informed decisions instead of simply pressing the correct button. Although the interface remains approachable for newcomers, it still provides enough depth to capture the atmosphere of penetration testing and vulnerability assessment. The balance between accessibility and authenticity allows players with little technical knowledge to enjoy the experience while offering more experienced users mechanics that feel surprisingly credible. The educational component is woven naturally into the gameplay instead of interrupting the experience with lengthy tutorials. Every mission demonstrates how poor security practices can expose systems to attacks, giving players insight into why cybersecurity is such an important field. Because the scenarios are based on vulnerabilities encountered in the real world, the lessons remain engaging without feeling like classroom exercises. The game succeeds in presenting hacking as a discipline built on research, patience, and technical understanding rather than reckless criminal activity, making it both entertaining and informative. Presentation is functional rather than flashy, but that decision works well for the type of experience Electric Heart aims to create. Most of the visuals revolve around desktop environments, terminal windows, web interfaces, and digital tools, reinforcing the impression that players are working inside realistic computer systems. Clean interface design keeps information organized and readable, while understated audio effects enhance immersion without distracting from the puzzle-solving aspects of gameplay. Although players looking for cutting-edge graphics may not find much visual spectacle, the minimalist presentation complements the game's emphasis on realism. The game's linear mission structure means players have limited freedom compared to larger sandbox hacking simulators. However, this focused design also allows the developers to carefully control the pacing of both the narrative and the educational progression. Each challenge builds logically on previous lessons, ensuring that players continue learning while facing increasingly demanding scenarios. Those expecting unlimited experimentation may wish for more open-ended systems, but the guided structure ultimately benefits the game's teaching objectives and keeps the campaign engaging from beginning to end. Hackers Journey stands out as a thoughtful and well-crafted cybersecurity simulation that successfully combines education with entertaining gameplay. Its realistic hacking scenarios, authentic investigative mechanics, and carefully structured progression create an experience that is both intellectually rewarding and enjoyable. While its niche subject matter and linear design may not appeal to every player, those with an interest in technology, ethical hacking, or simulation games will find plenty to appreciate. Electric Heart has created a game that respects its audience's intelligence while delivering a convincing glimpse into the world of cybersecurity. Rating: 7/10
Hacker's Journey is by far one of the worst games I’ve ever played. The gameplay is clunky and painfully boring, with controls that feel unresponsive and broken. The graphics look outdated, like something from over a decade ago, with poor textures and laughable animations. The story is practically nonexistent, filled with incoherent writing and meaningless dialogue. The game claims to be realistic, but there’s absolutely nothing realistic about it — the so‑called hacking mechanics are childish, oversimplified, and feel more like cheap mini‑games than anything serious. On top of that, the optimization is terrible: constant bugs, crashes, and performance drops make it nearly unplayable. Overall, it’s a frustrating, empty, and worthless experience. I strongly do not recommend it to anyone.
Obviously some effort and creativity has been put into this, but it's overall much less polished than other games in the genre. I would recommend Bitburner (if you like writing code) or Grey Hack (if you don't) instead. Most of the text in the game is LLM generated. I love a virtual desktop and a virtual terminal, but there isn't a real filesystem or shell, and the command line tools are half-baked. For example, you can't even cat some of the text files that appear in your home directory. That smells vibe coded to me. When you get a chance to write exploits, you actually just click "OK" on a mockup of a text editor with some code that has been written for you, probably also by an LLM. (Maybe that's more realistic than I'd like it to be.) The tutorialization is overall good - new tools are introduced in a natural-feeling way - but the way the missions are ordered feels like a "worst of both worlds" between linear and sandbox. Maybe this changes after the first couple missions. The game isn't completely AI slop; points for creativity and personality. At one point you cash out by tipping a sex worker and a twitch streamer tens of thousands of dollars from stolen credit cards. There's a twitter app on the desktop that has people commenting on the bounties/hacks that you do.
best hacking game , only one thing...please add the possibility to open more web pages in the browser, not only one.
Por 3 USD tenés un buen rato de diversión. Tocó bancar.
Enjoying Hacker’s Journey so far. It presents realistic scenarios inspired by real-world cases. Educating and encouraging you to apply practical problem-solving techniques that can be useful in everyday IT and security operations. It’s fun and gets you thinking. The music is great too. I’ve started listening to the soundtrack in the background while I do other tasks. If you like hacking or cybersecurity games, I recommend it.
Short. Webpages didn't have much depth. Not anywhere close to what it's being sold as in the description. Just not that great. Terminal should tab complete all kinds of things. I didn't so much hate linear story but there just wasn't much in it. Needs to open up, need a lot more put into it, just not much content and depth.
