Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 16 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Running circles around your enemies, who can nevertheless destroy you very quickly, is a wonderful feeling combination that I didn't know I needed.
GwenBlade, developed and published by ArcWillow, is a fast-paced hack-and-slash action platformer that blends retro combat sensibilities with modern presentation, humor, and an unapologetically chaotic tone. The game follows Gwen, a young warrior whose journey unfolds through a series of increasingly bizarre encounters, escalating threats, and stylish, arena-like combat scenarios. Rather than leaning on heavy narrative exposition, GwenBlade uses brief dialogue, character expressions, and environmental context to establish its world—a place where comedy, danger, and fantasy collide. The writing balances sarcasm and sincerity, making Gwen an immediately likable protagonist whose personality drives much of the game’s charm. Even when the story drifts into absurdity, it remains grounded by her reactions, doubts, and stubborn determination. At its core, GwenBlade succeeds because of its combat, which is built around responsiveness, momentum, and player expression. Attacks chain together smoothly, dodge rolls feel essential rather than optional, and enemy patterns encourage a dance-like rhythm of aggression and evasion. Gwen’s moveset gradually expands through unlockable upgrades, giving players access to aerial strikes, special abilities, combo finishers, or enhanced weapon techniques. These upgrades meaningfully evolve gameplay rather than merely increasing damage numbers, allowing the player to develop a personalized combat style. Encounters are designed to challenge awareness and adaptability—enemies swarm in mixed compositions, forcing Gwen to reposition constantly, prioritize targets, and think two steps ahead. Boss fights, in particular, highlight ArcWillow’s understanding of action design, featuring distinct phases, visual tells, mechanical variety, and rewarding difficulty spikes. Platforming and level design complement the combat rather than distracting from it. Stages introduce environmental hazards, traversal challenges, and verticality that encourage movement-based combat rather than stationary slugfests. Exploration is light but satisfying: hidden paths, optional encounters, and collectible upgrades encourage players to scan each area rather than simply sprint toward the objective. While GwenBlade does not attempt to become a sprawling Metroidvania, it benefits from offering brief detours that allow moments of calm between battles. The pacing remains tight, rarely bogging down in repetition or filler segments, and the game’s structure supports both quick play sessions and extended runs. The visual presentation is another major strength. GwenBlade embraces a bold, stylized aesthetic—sharp line work, vibrant palettes, exaggerated animations, and fluid particle effects create a world that feels alive, playful, and expressive. Gwen’s attack animations snap with clarity and impact, ensuring combat always feels satisfying, while enemy designs communicate behavior through shape and silhouette. The environmental art shifts between mystical forests, ruined temples, neon-lit battlegrounds, and surreal dreamlike spaces, preventing visual fatigue and reinforcing narrative escalation. Cutscenes, while simple, are animated with charm and comedic timing that enhance character relationships rather than interrupt gameplay. Sound design reinforces the game’s tone and kinetic energy. Attacks land with crunchy impact, weapon swings have weight, and enemy screeches, explosions, and ability effects add tension without overwhelming the soundscape. The soundtrack drives momentum—upbeat combat tracks, atmospheric ambient pieces, and triumphant boss themes blend electronic, rock, and fantasy influences. Music transitions cleanly between exploration and combat, ensuring emotional pacing remains intact. Voice acting, if present, is minimal, allowing the writing and animation to carry character emotion without overstating it. Difficulty progression feels fair but demanding. GwenBlade is not a button-mash action game—poor timing, careless positioning, and overconfidence are punished. The challenge encourages mastery of movement, invincibility frames, and crowd control. Fortunately, checkpoints and level structure prevent frustration, allowing players to learn from mistakes rather than repeat long stretches of gameplay. The upgrade system also softens difficulty spikes by rewarding persistence and exploration. That said, players unfamiliar with action platformers may find the later stages intense without practice, and some enemy encounters can feel overwhelming when first encountered. If the game has weaknesses, they stem from its focused design. Players seeking deep narrative complexity, branching storylines, or open-world exploration may find the experience too linear or mechanically concentrated. Combat-heavy sessions may feel repetitive for those not invested in skill refinement or combo experimentation. Some may wish for additional weapon types or alternative characters to diversify playthroughs. Yet GwenBlade’s intent is clear—it aims to deliver a polished, tight, energetic action experience rather than a sprawling genre hybrid, and it succeeds on that foundation. Ultimately, GwenBlade stands out because it understands the value of feel—responsive controls, stylish presentation, confident pacing, and combat that rewards engagement rather than endurance. ArcWillow delivers a game that respects player time, encourages replayability through mechanical enjoyment rather than artificial padding, and embraces personality over generic fantasy tropes. It is a reminder that indie action games can compete with larger productions when they commit fully to mechanical clarity and artistic identity. For players who enjoy fast, expressive combat, character-driven indie adventures, stylish 2D action, or games built around challenge and rhythm, GwenBlade offers a thrilling, polished, and memorable experience. It may not try to reinvent the genre, but it embodies everything satisfying about it—and does so with heart, humor, and unmistakable confidence. Rating: 7/10

A very solid slasher! Highly recommend!
Интересная игра и графика прикольная, очень понравились волны, на которых можно покататься!
Gostei do game. A gameplay é fluída e muito boa, o estilo gráfico também achei bem bonito. Recomendo.
I like it. It's as if Inception meets Hi-Fi Rush. A lot of enemies & movement. The power-ups & traversing is interesting. Onto what needs work, the bosses were a bit too easy. Also the game dodges repetitiveness by the story being short. Overall: The game (+ an 88% discount) gets an 8 from me
⭐ A Stylish, Emotional Hack-and-Slash with a Killer Concept ⭐ This game has such a strong and memorable core idea. You play as Jane, an agent of the GwenBlade organization, diving directly into the minds of patients to confront their psychological struggles head-on. Each level is a surreal, dreamlike manifestation of a person’s soul—built from memories, emotions, and trauma—and it makes exploration feel meaningful rather than just decorative. The environments are creative and constantly surprising, with platforming challenges that feel woven into the story instead of tacked on. But where the game really shines is its combat. Battles are fast, satisfying, and packed with choice. You’re constantly getting stronger through stat upgrades, currencies, active abilities, and passive effects that dramatically change how you play. One run you’re setting enemies on fire with your jumps, the next you’re shocking them with lightning or detonating foes just by sprinting past them. The boss design deserves special praise. Fights like “Pressure”, a literal crushing embodiment of stress, are both mechanically clever and thematically powerful. Watching the boss physically weaken as you deal damage is a brilliant way to tie gameplay directly into the game’s psychological themes. The hack-and-slash combat feels great, mixing swordplay with the raw energy of an electric guitar—an inspired combo that fits the game’s personality perfectly. Every run feels different thanks to deep customization, encouraging experimentation and replayability. Overall, this is a confident, stylish game with a strong identity, fun combat, and a surprisingly thoughtful emotional core. If you enjoy fast-paced action, creative worlds, and games that aren’t afraid to get a little weird and meaningful, this is absolutely worth your time.
I love the surrealistic location design and the overall unique aesthetics. I’m hoping some bugs get fixed in upcoming patches.
It's a bit easy, it's predictable, the story is vague and inconsequential- but it's clearly a passionate project. By the looks of things this is a new dev and someone who only just started working on games. Being into games, it's important to appreciate a game dev's vision and unique artistic identity regardless of if it's rough around the edges. I recommend yes, but in its current state only get it on sale. The combat is fun also, even if a bit floaty and lacking challenge.
A very visually stunning game with a good soundtrack and fun gameplay loop. there are some small issues however, such as the English translation, strange camera angles, and the UI not always fitting the screen correctly. Also had a bug where Hao's dialogue became Jane's day 2 dialogue Tight gameplay mechanics and fun level design really make this game really fun!
