About

In a futuristic city ravaged after war, criminals and automated combat units run rampant. Avenge your fallen friends and secure your next payday through lethal force or mercy.

Daring to push action roguelite design further, Bail Force introduces the Adaptive Combat System, a feature where enemies analyze your preferred fighting style and evolve to counter it. Your habit of using melee or ranged attacks will be countered by the next wave of enemies. With diverse types of enemies and procedural generation, no battle is ever the same.
Collect and combine add-ons to change your playstyle. Become a living weapon that overwhelms enemies with sheer force and dynamic movements. Active skills that trigger with every dash and jump, passive abilities that hurt enemies back or protect you when you take damage, enhancement to your melee and ranged attacks, you decide what to combine and integrate to your character.
Choose between lethal force or arresting them to serve the justice system. Arresting gives you more money than simple kills, and can change your ending if you do enough of them. Want to find out what awaits your character at the end of the hunt? You can try arresting for replayability and multiple endings.
You can play as Angel, a traumatized student out for revenge armed with a DIY exoskeleton, or Lea, a professional bounty hunter with nanite implants, fighting to uphold a promise to a friend. Want to make Angel less obsessed with revenge, or make Lea more trigger-happy and merciless? it is all up to you.
Feel the adrenaline rush of classic 2D action games and think fast, because the enemy learns from your habits, and they won't wait to finish you. Beat them and survive.
Hunt criminals through broken cityscapes, suspicious buildings, criminal hideouts, and more. Adapt and deliver retribution to the criminals, with style.

This game needs work some simple QOL fixes can really make this fun. For instance going prone is a good touch but not being able to shift your aim direction while prone just feels like bad design. Combat is fine could use a little refinement. As it sits right now I would say a 5/10 fixing the prone issue would get this to at least a 7 though. For now it's a thumbs down but if prone gets improved I will update this review.
After playing the game for hours, I can say this game has a really cool concept in paper, but the product didn't really do justice. What I like : The concept of the characters and the story, it has a really strong characteristic. What I don't like : Overall feeling of the game is really off, it feels like a really fast paced game but it lacks 'momentum'. Almost every character move really fast and don't have a sense of weight. I think this is one of the biggest problem the game has, it is really hard to enjoy the game when the character moves too fast, the enemy moves too fast, even the bosses attacks has no rhythm and wind up. Usually in roguelite games, whenever I died, it's frustrating but I'm motivated to replay. That's not the case with this game, mainly because while the stages are random, it's basically the same stuff, over and over again, with nothing really changes in each run. Not to mention the sound effects are poorly mixed, I ended up muting the sound effects because the melee attack sound is really annoying, and on the first boss, it's really, really disturbing. The game become a little bit more enjoyable with the sound effects off and just the background music playing. The flood of tutorial text in the beginning is also a real turn off, I think most player will skip it because they're eager to start playing, not reading wall of text containing too much information that is not relateable yet to the new players. I know I might sounds overly critical and probably nitpicking, but it is what it is. I really, really wanted to enjoy the game but I just can't, with the 'slippery' movement of almost every character in the game. But, considering this is a first game from Seblacc Soft, big respect to the team (only 9 people worked on it if I'm not misunderstanding the splash screen at the beginning of the game) for their hardwork completing this game and releasing it on Steam with an affordable price. Hopefully the game could be updated, or the next game could be much, much better. I am still recommending this game for people who like 2d side scrolling roguelite game, especially a hard one.
To be honest, didn’t like this game. Bought this as bet with friends, kinda hoping this is a hidden gem indie games I love roguelike games, but this one is just plain awful. The gameplay feels too slippery, and the music and sound effects are a real turn-off. Bet most other reviewers (both positive and negative) only played it for around or under an hour because the gameplay is repetitive and boring.
Honestly, I'm really enjoying this game, but there are a few things that need some work. Like, sometimes the platforming can be a bit wonky. You'll be like, "Okay, I'm on the ground," but your character's still floating in mid-air. And the controls can feel super stiff, when you're trying to catch those bad guys. Plus, it gets a bit repetitive after a while, even with the different locations and all. But, despite all that, the game's got some really cool ideas, and it's not just about smashing everything in sight, you've gotta think strategically to catch those baddies. Hopefully the devs will sort these issues out soon!
First Impression: This games looks simple, but it will give you anxiety as you walk, the enemies has unforgiven damage and also traps if you are not cautious. BE MINDFUL when you wanna do, Eventhough your range and melee attack up, Your Enemies damage also Up. Be Strategize. . If you really a Roguelike Addict. Go Grab this game. .
“It’s quite funny in some situations and places. I know this isn’t a horror game, but the enemies’ behavior actions sometimes give a jump-scare feeling.”
It’s a fast, interesting, and punishingly fun cyberpunk side scroller. Great game if you enjoy retro pixel style graphic. :D
Interesting concept, I love how the enemy can still find a way to approach and shoot at you even when there's a tall wall, they'll jump and shoot you anyway lol
It feels like a retro arcade video game. I really miss that era. The gameplay is so fun and challenging. I like how the character dash
Bail Force is a really challenging (and extremely fun) game with an open ended weapon and strategy options. It reminds me of "Edge of Tomorrow" (2014) a.k.a "Live. Die. Repeat..." where you will respawn everytime you die and have to come up with a new weapon and/or strategy to be used in the next cycle until you beat the boss. The enemies are hard to beat at first, but after you find "the flow", you will get them eventually. Anyway, at the time of writing this review, I have only beaten the first boss. Wish me luck :)
