About

Gunsmith is a industrial management experience where you start your own arms manufacturing company. You begin by inheriting a small factory where you shall start forging your empire.
Acquire licences or don't, to begin making your first military grade items. You will build up your factory by unlocking machines and technologies. You start with very little and the government will not allow you to produce more serious items until your reputation has grown.

Over 35 machines to choose from.
Over 10 Belt types to transport goods including bridge belts that allow stacked belts.
Over 30 Products to manufacture.
Over 20 Clients to do business with.
4 Types of Factory.
6 Types of Workers.
A dynamic marketplace to buy goods from.
Automated buying and selling system.
Special orders and scenarios.
Sandbox Mode.
Steam Workshop.

Pick from a huge selection of machines to choose how you make your product. Efficient, mass produced, quickly or slowly. It's up to you.
Start by making small almost harmless things such as boots, trousers, vests with no armour. Once you start to fulfil these orders you will have the opportunity to unlock licences to expand your empire and make new and deadlier items. Eventually you will be granted a licences to manufacture armour, ammunition, firearms, explosives and the list goes on and on.

Research new technologies and machines that will lead to more complex and usually more dangerous items to manufacture.

Build up a reputation with over 20 clients from around the globe. They may ask for certain items that might not be technically legal. If you choose to do business with such people that's up to you as an arms dealer. They will always offer you a very attractive price.
Continue into the political sphere, providing you with the opportunity to manipulate global situations, push politicians into certain ways and cause conflicts on the basis of selling more arms to create even more profit. ( This is by no means inspired by anything that is currently happening in the world today )
It will be up to you as a Gunsmith to overcome all these challenges and dominate the market and make as much profit as possible. How you do this will be up to you. Good Luck...

I don't play many factory games. I fucc with this one though.
What's not to love? It's Factorio for guns
I love this game.... but it does often go a long time in-between updates. I have been playing since 2020. It's a conveyor hell (factorio) meets, trading/shop sim, meets crime boss mini sim. I hope they keep developing and don't fully abandon..... I have played through until final stages many times. The bridge and pathfinding bugs are the most annoying, but found I could "work around" them with more spacing in my factory design by keeping at least three spaces between things.
can we get mac support for this game
Read the EULA
Game Good in my experience and it does not seem abandoned.
Let me open by saying my biggest complaint of this game is that there are long periods of little to no updates from the devs, They admit that they have run into issues they are trying to deal with, but then disappear for months at a time. The game seems to have slipped into Dev hell. The game itself in its current state is not bad, but its not great either. It lacks balance in how things buy and sell in price, it always seems like I am just floating right above bankruptcy. There is no way to autosell excess inventory, you have to sell it to a specific order. It also takes a long time to also get to the actual guns. I wanna love this game, but until the devs get themselves sorted and get back into gear here, I am afraid I have to reccomend against it.
It's fine. Half interesting. But as others stated, money only matters as you're first starting. Building out new lines is a tiny expense compared to the income you can print. Research costs are tiny. There isn't really any challenge involved. The newest updates have implemented a lot of the 'get the game out of my way' features, but what's left is little more than a couple independent production lines that don't interact with each other.
Just restarted to play after 5 years. Great improvement to the game play, I like it.
