Once you're in a match this game is fantastic: streamlined systems with good balance and excellent netcode. Best experience I've ever had with Guilty Gear, having played Xrd and ACR before. The game slowly connects to servers on launch... for no good reason, since it has to connect again once you're actually playing online anyway. Also the main way to actually get matches is "Ranked Mode", NOT quick tower or anything else; the other "unique" online modes are just awkward and annoying to use. This is a very good game which suffers from unintuitive annoyances outside of matches, but those issues are genuinely minor. Stupid that these issues exist at all, and unlikely to be fixed because they're probably hard-coded at a foundational level of Strive's programming, but these issues are genuinely minor. If you're willing to learn a game as difficult as Guilty Gear, you'll learn how to navigate these menu annoyances easily enough

Robert Kyle is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ immaculate. I love him. Ever since I had first laid my eyes on him back in ACR, it was like love at first sight. Words cannot even BEGIN to describe how much I love Robert Kyle. He is the reason why I strive to keep going on in life. I dream of coming home everyday and playing Robert Kyle. When I grow to be an old man, I'd want to be a storyteller for my kids (and grandkids, too!) and tell them stories of Robert Kyle's extravagant accomplishments and how he had to crawl out of the box and out of the shelter from the rain in order to get to where he is now. He is my hero. He truly is a Guilty Gear. In conclusion, beating
Stage 9 Nago
was HORRIBLE, but Robert Kyle made it all worthwhile in the end.
Best fighting game around. It can feel slow, weird, clunky when you first boot it up, but there are a ton of mechanics that make fights faster and more furious as you learn more and more tricks. And so many characters have really unique mechanics that you won't find in other fighters. This is the one. If you're new to fighters or it's been a while, there's a whole series of training missions to help you incrementally learn the systems, from newbie up to the pro ♥♥♥♥ you see them doing at EVO. Game is 5 years old but average wait to find a ranked match is 10 seconds. The 2.0 overhaul a few months ago was huge and brought a lot of great stuff to the game, it's the best time to get into the game. The 2.0 Starter Edition is the best bang for your buck, you get all the characters for less than buying everything one at a time, even at discounts.
Very good game with intresting characters BUT THE PRICES GYATTDAMN !!!! WHAT DO YOU MEAN 2 DLCs COST MORE THAN THE ACTUAL GAME (also some inputs are crazy but that's skill and controler issue)
