I felt guilty after using my money on this game, since I had so little yet, but the gear in my brain just clicked and automatically got it anyways. I now strive to be good at it so it isn't a waste.
Well...where to begin? I'm not a review guy, so the fact that I'm even typing this out is enough of a message to buy the damn game. I've played my fair share of fighting games whether they're traditional or not. Smash Bros, DBFZ, UMVC3, 2XKO, Y'know the whole kit and kaboodle. So, the way I found this game is on YouTube, via a grappler analysis video, and I was immediately hooked once I saw the lumbering behemoth that was Potemkin, once I saw him in action I decided to Wishlist the game and buy it a few months later or whenever the hell it was on sale for, fast forwards to Christmas the time of year where literally everything is less than the spit on my boot. So, I bought Strive, and I instantly picked Potemkin with a certain man with a paper bag as a secondary due to finding his design appealing, and playing Potemkin...was rough to say the least, from what I know he's really hard to use due to how unique he is, so he slowly faded into a secondary and that's when I locked onto Faust, I played a couple games with him and decided to let the game rest for a bit. Apparently a "bit" was over half a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ year because I didn't boot up the game until late June- early July. I had played the game very sporadically beforehand yes but now I had a fair bit of DLC and there was one more character that had now caught my interest, Bedman? And when I tell you I have never in my entire life had a character click so seamlessly and smoothly in any game period I mean it, Bedman? Was and still is a beauty to use, early on I won a small tournament, and now at 36 hours I sit at Platinum 1 with no intentions of stopping soon, Guilty Gear Strive has not only shot up to be one of my favorite fighting games but one of my favorite games of all time, so please for the love of EVERYTHING good and holy buy. This. Game. You will find that every single penny and more is entirely worth it.
Awesome soundtrack. It also comes with a free game.
