GTR - FIA GT Racing Game

Für diese inzwischen sehr sehr alte Simulation noch immer Daumen hoch. Was die damals schon alles simuliert haben, vom Wetter mit abtrocknender Strecke über Tag / Nacht Wechsel. Nicht schlecht. Aber der Nachfolger GTR2 ist noch einmal besser!

It's a great racing simulation for its price and can be adjusted to play like an arcade game too thanks to the many options it has. If you don't want to spend too much time tweaking, you can just choose one of the 3 modes on the startup screen ( arcade, semi-pro and simulation ). So it can be played with keyboard, controller or wheel. GTR - FIA GT is nowadays mostly known among the sim racing community, but when it was released its name was on almost every popular gaming magazine. It's one of the racing games that took the gameplay to the next level, with realistic driving physics and dynamic weather. The weather also affects the driving and is not just for show, the track becomes slippery when it's raining. The selection of circuits is not as rich as other popular simulations of its time but adequate considering the price. But I like that I can play the old version of Spa-Francorchamps which is not added in newer sims. A few others that I could recognize are the Donington circuit and Enna Pergusa. The car list however is great. It has Porsche 911s, Ferraris and other common GT cars, but then some other rare ones such as the Mosler, Murcielago R-GT and Saleen S7. The last two are actually some of my favorites. One negative - the graphics aren't exactly as the screenshots show. The in-game graphics aren't bad, but it seems like the store page screenshots have more bloom, motion blur and antialiasing. One thing that kinda bothered me is that even if I run on a very high resolution ( 5K ) the antialiasing is still kinda lacking. Car interiors look pretty clean though. Can't complain about the sounds though, they are spot on and I love how realistic the turbo sounds. And last but not least an impressive soundtrack.

Должен сказать, это хорошая игра. Но если вы собираетесь покупать эту игру, купите и GTR 2. Больше автомобилей, лучшие трассы, больше игровых режимов, а также простота модификации.

If you like to see those racing games in the past and what they feel and look like, its very similar to current without the details and ray tracing. Add to my collection as there is no gran turismo on steam. GTR2 surpasses this game though and much more polished in terms of menus and physics.

Настоящий ПК-эксклюзив! Если как следует разобраться, то будет работать на актуальной ОС. Лучший автосимулятор для одиночной игры, включая GTR 2 и GT Legends. Конечно, желательно поставить мод Reborn, тогда соперники будут ехать быстрее и аккуратнее.

Reviewing games I played a long time ago: Just a warning. I did manage to get it working, but there's a lot of people without the same luck, so beware. I was never much into GTR cause at the time F1 Challenge was my jam. When I got interested in GT racing GTR2 was almost being released, so I almost skipped this. But this is one of the most important simulators ever and it showed how a bunch of modders could get together, found a studio and release something as good as professional could.

Не работает на Win 10. В Steam есть гайд по запуску, но всё что вам удаться, это запустить игру на минимальных настройках. То есть игра выглядит ужасно и даже не рядом того, что на скринах. Я реально не понимаю таких вещей. Вы продаёте продукт в Steam, но по факту он неработоспособен. Ничего удивительного, что отзывы упали до "смешанных", а ведь игра легендарная! Я тоже ставлю палец вниз. Ну поправьте вы эту канитель, почему пользователи должны танцевать с бубном?! Кому там права сегодня принадлежат, Белу ли, Sector3 Studios? Не хорошо это как то.
