About

It is the dawn of World War II, and you take command of a remote military air base.

Engulf yourself in the Second World War and experience its battles from the perspective of your air base crew. It is your responsibility to make sure everybody is physically and mentally prepared to fulfil their duties.

Build up and manage a World War II air base. Your personal home for your planes and your crew members. Complete freedom of how you want to build. You will plan and place every wall.

Enjoy a variety of accurate fighter airplanes. A joy for aviation aficionados who know the difference between a Hurricane and a Spitfire. But consider: bigger airplanes will need bigger infrastructure. So make sure you can house some of WW2's most impressive airplanes.

Experience personal stories of your air base crew members. On your base every person matters and has their own personality. The game takes huge inspiration from the everyday life of airplane bases in remote locations and how it felt to live there, in good and bad times.

The game is built from the ground up to look like a living and breathing comic book, bringing the style of these timeless art pieces to life. From Bergèse to Hergé, the attention to detail and love for planes of the old masters is what we strive for.

This game is a lot of fun and I honestly enjoy the loop. Foundationally the game is very much there and performs well even on my laptop. The premise is relatively novel and honestly period accurate given the UK's position during the war. The ability to manufacture your own food is honestly really a nice touch. I love this game but, I definitely would love to see some expansion and adjustments too it. - I would love to see a more in-depth terraforming system that allows you to dig out raised areas to make room for air strips. - I would love to see more specialization roles in the game, beyond medic, cook, etc. Maybe expansion into groundskeepers or such. - With air raids being such an integral part of the game. I would love to see even the base crew members get training options. Like training their shooting, endurance for speed, to help respond to scrambles. - Farming balances for seeds, I feel that they don't give as much especially grain and potatoes. I would love to see more variety too. -I don't say it very often but, I would love to see almost a story mode. Each of these maps could have unique conditions or events wrapped up in a story campaign. There are other things I have but, right now these are some of the big things I would like to see. As I said the game play is great and is honestly sound. While the game is in early access there are some small glitches and issues I have with the UI as it feels a touch clunky. But I am sure that will be ironed out in time. The only other big issue I had was pawns getting stuck in places and not moving but, those I think are just weird little bugs. Beyond that the game is good and I recommend it. I got it on a small discount from a sale and I feel it was worth. I can't wait to see the game as it develops.
Ground of Aces is a fun take sitting in the intersection of city-building, crafting, and simulation. Even though it is only in early access, there is certainly enough material for many dozens of hours of leveling up one's airbases, which makes it a worth the price already. Factoring in that the roadmap indicates plenty more to come from the developers makes this game a reasonable investment in your enjoyment even now.
Fun. Nice artwork. Just feels good to play.
Lohnt sich Grafik ist nicht so der Renner aber es ist halt immer noch nicht fertig ,
very enjoyable despite its very early state. ill admit the gameplay loop of sending out guys to cut down trees and pick up rocks every day and then spending 5 days straight creating metal out of thin air can get a bit repetitive, but all in all the base building aspect is fun enough where i can get past that. i came in expecting a game that was no means fully polished, and received a game that was maybe a few tweaks away becoming a favorite. would reccommend trying it
Cool game. Needs a few tweaks like the ability to reassign planes to different parking spaces or readdress the frequency of troops abandoning their assignments. Still really enjoy it though.
Si blocca come se fosse un DEMO eppure l'ho pagato. Soldi buttati!!!
great game really fun to play runs really well no problems encounter so far great job devs!!
Backed this as a Kickstarter and so glad I did. I actually waited until the tutorial level was ready which helped immensely with the first play. I had reservations originally about the tin tin style of graphics for the characters but I actually have grown to love them. I would highly recommend this game, with the developers being so willing to listen to feedback it can only get better.
