About
Groovy Labs is an open and cross-platform sandbox for rhythm games in Virtual and Mixed Reality (VR/XR).
Groovy Labs aims to become something more than Beat Saber though, by providing a platform for immersive experiences rather than being a single game. A platform for music and rhythm-based mini-games, powered by content created by us, the community of players.
One of the biggest selling points of Groovy Labs is the sheer number and variety of songs the players can choose from. There's tens of thousands of beatmaps (levels) created by Beat Saber community that we tap into.
Groovy Labs is highly customizable to cater to various players preferences. This includes the ability to choose the type of gameplay, an environment in which the game takes place, custom models of weapons and destructible objects and more.
The customizations described above are part of what makes Groovy Labs an extensible platform. The content that the community creates may even introduce novel gameplay mechanics that we haven't yet thought of. This approach is similar to other, highly popular and profitable platforms, like Fortnite, Minecraft or Roblox.
Groovy Labs is available on the following platforms: SteamVR, Meta Quest, PICO, Apple Vision Pro, SideQuest.

I'm going to be honest, this is bad. Like it's free so there's no harm done, but it doesn't hold a candle to Beat Saber. I'll admit I came into this expecting low-quality, I mean the logo was AI generated so there's clearly no semblance of care put into it, but I was still surprised. Of the "over 100 000 community-made song beatmaps for Beat Saber" only 9 of them come installed with the game, and they're not a particularly good 9. You can't search for more to download or play in the game, the search function only shows you those 9 songs. Groovy Labs brags about having plenty of customization options, but the options I was able to play around with were really poor and far fewer than what exists in Beat Saber already. There's no score, just a ratio of successful vs failed hits, there are extremely limited environments and sabers as available options, there's not even a pause button. In order to pause a song and go to the menu I had to walk over to my keyboard and Alt+Tab. I can see the modding of this game could make it fun, adding more songs and maps from BeatSaver or something could help it, but those maps were designed for Beat Saber, and you'll have a far better experience with Beat Saber than this. The only reason I could see someone playing Groovy Labs over Beat Saber is for piracy, to play a free knockoff of a $30 game, and at that point you're doing yourself a disservice.

There are 9 songs, not 100,000. New songs cannot be installed, nor streamed. Dev is apparently aware of this (functionality was removed due to copyright issues) but has made no attempt to communicate this anywhere on the store page, or in the game.

Groovy Labs is a free to play VR rhythm game that has XR. It worked on my HTC Vive, Meta Quest 3 via Steam Link, system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Has lots of options. CONS: - The search function for songs in this database of 100,000 songs, did Not work at the time of this review. - Does not have many songs, only 9. Maybe try this if you are looking for a free clone of "Beat Saber"
Beat Saber de hacendado
This is just a free poorly made Beat Saber copy. It only has 9 songs included, from the thousands the claim to have, which are not even shown in the trailer or in their youtube channel.
Only 9 songs available.
Great game Dev takes on board community suggestions and actively works on them
