It took me a little bit to get the hang of the controls, but I'm HOOKED! The animation is very cute, I'm loving the story and all the side characters and quests. I'm so happy I backed this game on Kickstarter.
Its so cute and cozy! Very stylized game, I'm obsessed <3
Beautiful art and concept, unfortunately the game is dull and repetitive.

I enjoy this game a lot. I'm usually not much of a dungeon crawler type of player. But this one gets you hooked, I think because in other crawlers you just could by arbitrary items to get stronger for the next run or buy cosmetic stuff. Here you actually grow and plant your future "enemies", and I think that's a unique concept. There's also a lot of different spells to unlock, which is nice. The difficulty can be overwhelming sometimes, but you need to bring the right spells to make it manageable against hordes of shroooms.
I am really enjoying this game so far. It's a fun rogue-like game (i think) with awesome visuals, an interesting concept, and enjoyable game play. Some of the most attractive things to me about this game are the following: - The art work is really charming. All of the characters feel so unique and it makes me want to engage with them more! The plants are so creatively designed and I especially love Primose's (the MC) model. - The story line is precious. I enjoy the notion of feeding the plants so they can finish growing and the idea that I am working towards renewing a garden ^_^ it just feels nice. While the game play is "combat", it more so explained as feeding plants which adds to the cozy-vibes of this game. - I like the different systems for upgrading things such as the spells, the shrines, and how the different characters offer upgrades during your run. The levels feel difficult but more doable as you keep playing (with upgrading spells, gathering more resources from the runs, etc.)-- has a good feeling of progression so far. Will update as I get more hours in.
An awesome and cute roguelite. TBH if your looking for a serious rougelike this is not the game for you. The combat can be a bit floaty and I see a few serious fans not really liking that. But if you just want to have fun with a cute game about planting plants with magic, boy is it fun. The art, soundtrack and humour are all top notch. I really liked playing it. The only issue I have is some rough around the edges bugs. There's a single boss that I believe is not programmed correctly (it's not impossible just unfair) as well as some smaller things like a light softlock in the tutorial as well as it's fairly easy to get knocked off the map and get stuck. Neither of these are game breaking but they are annoying and should be fixed. The balancing for the late game could use some work too. But overall I did like this game.

Cozy, fun rogue like. Cute characters and a fun story.
I want to like this game, but it won’t let me. It feels repetitive and frustrating, with too much relying on randomness instead of the player. A strong narrative overhaul could save it: more personality, humor, or even a more mature tone. Narrative can carry a game, and this one really needs it. More music variety would help too, since the loops wear thin. It’s a shame, because the art is absolutely beautiful and deserves much better. Right now I can’t recommend it or include it in my video game guide, even though I’d like to. I hope the developers take note. This game deserves to be saved.
