Das Spiel ist perfekt für die Ferien
Well-written game, nicely plotted graphics and slightly more challenging than most HO games
Another nope of the Grim Tales Bundle. The game is fun to play, but you have to start from the beginning if you close it. Sorry, but that's a no-go for me. The gameplay is more than 5h and I don't want to do it all again =(
Well... I'd like to know why the gray scaled down so much, alas I will never know as the last game failed. Ignoring the from riches to norm jump and why they have walls that look older than gray mansion... MY... this game seems to actually work, the script is still awful though which is sad because the story is good as ever hints has been updated so they actualy make sense yet they aren't interactive as in other games ;/ Eitherway a massive improvment on the last game and I think any flaws can be overlooked.
Your nephew Brandon is in trouble. Your sister has asked for your help to solve whatever is troubling him. Unfortunately, the supernatural is involved. Again. Apparently, he made a wish with an old woman in the forest… always a bad idea. Seriously, it seems your family can’t avoid supernatural threats… Good thing they have you… Plot is decent, HO scenes fun, and minigames challenging. Still suggest the bundle.
Bin durch Gronkh auf das Spiel aufmerksam geworden. Die Story ist manchmal etwas... willkürlich sowie die Rätsel aber an sich für Wimmelanfänger ganz lustig. Schade das es auf englisch ist.
This game is a lot of fun. My only complaint is that it doesn't have achievements or collectibles. Other than that it's a great game.
Grim Tales: The Wishes Collector's Edition is a story-driven hidden-object puzzle adventure developed by Elephant Games and published by BFG Entertainment that fully embraces the strengths of the HOPA genre while delivering a dark, emotionally charged mystery. As part of the long-running Grim Tales series, the game continues the tradition of blending supernatural threats with deeply personal family drama, creating stakes that feel intimate rather than abstract. From its opening moments, it establishes a somber tone centered on the dangerous consequences of wishes and the irreversible damage caused when desperation overrides caution. The narrative begins with a powerful hook: your nephew Brandon is rapidly aging and wasting away, the victim of a sinister wish that has gone horribly wrong. As Anna Gray, you are drawn once again into a family crisis that quickly escalates into a confrontation with dark magic and malevolent forces. The story unfolds gradually, revealing that wishes in this world are not gifts but contracts, twisted by forces that thrive on human weakness. This framing gives the plot a strong emotional core, grounding the supernatural elements in fear, guilt, and the instinct to protect loved ones. Gameplay follows the classic hidden-object adventure structure, combining scene exploration, inventory management, hidden-object sequences, and a steady stream of puzzles. Locations are revisited frequently, encouraging players to notice subtle environmental changes and remember where items might be used later. The hidden-object scenes are varied in structure, sometimes asking players to locate lists of items, other times requiring interaction or combination before an object can be collected. This variety helps prevent repetition and keeps the pacing engaging throughout the adventure. Puzzles are woven consistently into the experience and range from simple mechanical interactions to more involved logic challenges. Many of them are thematically tied to the story, using symbols, magical artifacts, and machinery that reinforce the game’s gothic atmosphere. While most puzzles are intuitive and satisfying to solve, a few lean toward trial-and-error rather than clear logic, which can briefly interrupt the narrative flow. Still, the game offers adjustable difficulty settings, allowing players to tailor hint availability, puzzle skipping, and guidance to match their preferred level of challenge. Visually, Grim Tales: The Wishes Collector’s Edition excels in creating mood. The environments are richly illustrated, filled with moody lighting, intricate details, and a strong sense of place. Haunted interiors, shadowed corridors, and eerie outdoor settings all contribute to a cohesive gothic aesthetic that feels unsettling without being overwhelming. Character designs and animations, while stylized, effectively convey emotion and menace, helping to sell the darker moments of the story. Sound design further enhances immersion. Background music is atmospheric and restrained, building tension subtly rather than relying on dramatic flourishes. Sound effects reinforce interaction and discovery, while voice acting, where present, adds personality and clarity to key scenes. Together, the audiovisual elements create a steady undercurrent of unease that supports the narrative without distracting from gameplay. The Collector’s Edition content significantly enriches the overall package. In addition to the main storyline, it includes a substantial bonus chapter that expands on the consequences of the central wish and provides additional closure and insight into the characters’ fates. Extras such as a built-in strategy guide, concept art, wallpapers, and the soundtrack offer added value, especially for fans of the series who enjoy exploring behind-the-scenes material and completing every aspect of the game. Pacing is generally well handled, with a rhythm that alternates between exploration, hidden-object challenges, and puzzles. However, players unfamiliar with the genre may occasionally find the backtracking and item dependency slow, especially in later chapters where multiple objectives overlap. For genre veterans, this structure will feel familiar and comforting, reinforcing the investigative nature of the experience rather than detracting from it. Overall, Grim Tales: The Wishes Collector’s Edition is a strong entry in the HOPA genre that succeeds through atmosphere, emotional storytelling, and a generous amount of content. It may not reinvent the formula, but it refines it with confident execution and a compelling central theme about the cost of wishes and the danger of shortcuts. For players who enjoy story-focused puzzle adventures with a gothic edge and a personal narrative hook, it offers a satisfying and immersive journey that lingers well beyond its final scene. Rating: 6/10
It's a good game, puzzles not too hard but have played this game twice now and each time I go to play it keeps saying I have corrupted files and takes me back to the beginning.
