Reviews
This is an epic point and click adventure where you follow the story of John Dawn aka "Grim" on his quest to find the ultimate item.

Enjoyable game, huge amount of variety and customisation. A middle ground between Diablo and PoE

If you like ARPGs, this is an immediate buy. Absolutely top 5 of all time in the ARPG category. Don't question it, just buy it.
TL;DR - YES! MILLION TIMES YES! Long version: The only thing I regret about this game is that I bought it on a sale some time ago instead of getting it full price. If I haven't passed the refund thresholds that Steam has, I would instantly refund it to buy it full price! I had this collecting dust in my library for quite a while and saw it was gaining popularity recently due to upcoming expansion coming up (yes 10 years later!) and decided to give it a go. My oh my am I happy I did. This game is an absolute love letter to those who grew up in the 90s and early 2000s. It has gritty atmosphere to immerse you. The story is actually pretty damn well written. The world and characters feel grounded and believable. You are NOT the chosen one - you are a regular nobody, that has to work his way up in the world - finally a breath of fresh air and a game where noone treats you like the king, because you're the chosen one. It has plenty depth and customisation options (MULTICLASS! ! ! !) to the point where it's deep and complicated enough to actually make you think and keep you interested, but at the same time it's not stupidly complicated for the sake of being complicated to put you off. With the DLCs the replay value is endless as there's always something new to try and check out. Theory crafting that actually works! Most importantly - it's an ARPG but still: - no FOMO - no seasons - no live service - no battlepasses - can be played offline and without internet connection - for those too young to know what a gem this is and those that don't remember the glory days - you can hop in play as much as you wish, hop off, uninstall, install few months later and hop back in exactly where you left off and you haven't missed anything, the game is there with all the content waiting for you to have fun - no generative AI in the official release for writing, artwork and music and devs that say they will never release anything with generative AI So who is this for? - Are you tired of Blizzard treating you like guinea pig releasing broken seasons and patches for D4 and to apply fixes weeks after an issue emerges and to play a game as wide as an ocean and as shallow as a puddle? - Are you tired of GGG treating you like guinea pig, by making you pay to be a beta tester for a ridiculous mess of a "game" that has 0 fun and slot machine type crafting system, that almost year after the initial release can't fix their broken servers and the excuse is "tHaT'S wHaT EA is FoR", even though they manage to have fully operational ingame MTX shop (yeah they did that part right)? - Are you tired of mindless souless AI slop copies of the above like Last Epoch and the such? Well if you answered yes to all of this - then this game is for you. Not to mention that on sale it drops to 2$ which for the amount of content is basically giving it away for free.
