An awesome Modern take on a classic retro arcade style shooter hacker flying game like Tron. The music and menu sounds are very loud thankfully can be turned down, the menu has a sweet retro styled look to it and seems to be all unlocked except endless mode of which i suppose you have to get to a certain stage in the arcade mode or something to unlock. Controller and Mouse and Keyboard support which is awesome, i highly recommend playing with a controller. Definitly worth a look.
GRIDD: Retroenhanced, developed by Antab Studio and published by Kongregate, is a fast-paced neon-drenched shooter that feels like stepping into a digital fever dream. It’s a love letter to the arcade classics of the 1980s but filtered through a modern cyberpunk aesthetic that turns every moment into a spectacle of light and sound. From its first seconds, GRIDD establishes itself not as a traditional space shooter but as an intense, visually explosive experience that tests reflexes, timing, and endurance. The premise is simple: you’re a hacker diving deep into a hostile mainframe, battling layers of security AI and navigating through ever-shifting digital landscapes. It’s less about story and more about sensation—a pure rush of motion and rhythm wrapped in the glow of electric blue and neon pink. The game’s structure follows the lineage of classic rail shooters. Your ship moves along a fixed path through a constantly shifting environment filled with barriers, lasers, and enemies. Unlike traditional shooters, GRIDD gives you no control over speed or firing cadence; the ship’s weapons fire automatically, leaving you fully focused on survival and precision movement. Every obstacle, projectile, and enemy wave is designed to push your reaction time to its limit. The simplicity of its controls—just directional input—makes it easy to learn, but mastering it demands perfect rhythm and situational awareness. Each run feels like threading a needle at supersonic speed, with a constant sense of escalation as the game throws increasingly complex patterns your way. Mistakes are punishing, but the quick restart and fluid feedback make failure feel like an invitation to improve rather than a reason to quit. What makes GRIDD: Retroenhanced stand out is how seamlessly it integrates visuals and sound into gameplay. The entire experience pulses to the beat of its synthwave soundtrack, a pulsating series of electronic tracks that synchronize beautifully with the on-screen chaos. Every laser flicker, explosion, and gate transition is timed to the rhythm, creating an almost hypnotic flow where your movements become part of the music. The aesthetic draws heavily from the cyberpunk and digital futurism of the 1980s, evoking imagery reminiscent of Tron, Blade Runner, and arcade vector graphics. The use of vivid color contrasts—neon blues, purples, and greens cutting through the darkness—gives every frame a sense of depth and speed. It’s a game that lives and breathes through its presentation, offering moments that feel as much like a music video or light show as an interactive challenge. The difficulty curve is steep but deliberate. Early stages serve as warm-ups, teaching you to read the environment and recognize patterns, but it doesn’t take long before the game begins to test your limits. Obstacles begin to overlap, enemies combine attacks, and reflective surfaces start bouncing your own bullets back at you, turning your firepower into a liability if you’re careless. Boss encounters punctuate each section, massive digital constructs that fill the screen with projectiles and force you to memorize attack rhythms while navigating tight spaces. These fights aren’t overly long but serve as thrilling milestones that reward both skill and persistence. The sense of progression comes not from unlocking new content but from mastering the game’s patterns—a pure test of reflexes and concentration. While the gameplay loop is addictive, it’s also inherently repetitive. The structure relies on variations of the same core mechanics, which can make longer sessions feel monotonous for players looking for deeper systems or exploration. GRIDD isn’t interested in evolving its gameplay; instead, it refines a single idea until it gleams. For some, that purity is part of the appeal—it’s an arcade experience stripped down to its essentials, where flow and mastery are everything. Others may find that the lack of variety diminishes its staying power, especially once they’ve conquered the main campaign and unlocked the endless mode. Still, the satisfaction of pushing a little farther with each run, improving by milliseconds and learning to predict every visual cue, keeps the game compelling for those who thrive on challenge. The technical execution is impressive for such an intense visual experience. The framerate remains steady even during the densest moments of particle effects, explosions, and laser storms. Controls are responsive and immediate, with no noticeable input delay, which is crucial for a game where success depends entirely on split-second movements. The interface is minimal, allowing the player to stay immersed in the sensory overload without unnecessary distractions. The game’s pacing is perfectly tuned for both short bursts and extended sessions—it’s just as satisfying for a five-minute quick play as it is for a full hour of obsessive high-score chasing. Ultimately, GRIDD: Retroenhanced is a pure distillation of arcade adrenaline—fast, punishing, and hypnotic. It doesn’t try to tell a story or deliver complex systems; instead, it focuses on one thing and executes it with remarkable confidence. It’s about the thrill of survival at impossible speeds, about losing yourself in rhythm and color until your eyes blur and your fingers act on instinct alone. It captures the spirit of the old-school arcade era but presents it with modern polish and audiovisual sophistication. For players who appreciate twitch gameplay, synthwave aesthetics, and the pursuit of mastery, GRIDD: Retroenhanced delivers a sharp, exhilarating ride that burns bright and hard like the neon circuits that define it. Rating: 8/10

игровой процесс вызывает исключительно положительные эмоции и характеризуется высоким уровнем удовлетворения.
can someone make a mouse mod for this game? I think moving with a mouse would make this majorly better for me to play. its why i bought it on PC after trying it on Switch. I thought you could move with the mouse :( It's also hard to tell where the character is due to the camera, but the camera makes it cooler. AWESOME music, AWESOME retro style. i'm fully immersed. I wish it had a level picker. I managed to get the third boss fight (the one after big face guy uses Centipede dragon's gun). I enjoyed the Centipede Dragon fight! 10/10 would befriend Centidragon.
